Lovely friendly staff love the Sunday lunches would recommend

Been wanting to try this place for breakfast for a little while now and finally did today. What a great cafe, very clean, staff very friendly, very reasonably priced and the food was excellent. We ordered two full English Breakfast’s and added some black pudding and mushrooms with toast and a cuppa. Other half couldn’t finish hers and I just managed to finish mine, absolutely stuffed! If I could give it more than five stars I would, can’t wait to go back and try the Sunday lunch. Just a heads up, it doesn’t open till 10am and only accepts cash but a great place for breakfast.

Put on a table that was too small ,food very average, staff very good, clean premises but food lets it down unfortunately.

We have waited to go here for such a long time and it was worth the wait. The staff here are so friendly and accommodating and a pleasure to be served by.Had the broth today and it was filling and delicious. We will be definitely coming back as the rest of the menu looks amazing and full of home cooked delights!

Always good freshly cooked food. Knickerbocker glory is heavenly and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and helpful

A great place to eat with what I would call home cooked food at a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's usually very busy and advisable to book

A delicious Sunday lunch was enjoyed at this venue at a very reasonable price. Recently fully refurbished to a high standard

Excellent breakfasts. The bacon is top-notch. Sausage is average but that's better than most places where I find it to be rather cheap and nasty. Service is good and they offer a good range of homemade cakes etc. rather than the usual Cash-n-Carry rubbish. I'm off there in an hour for me brekkie lol

No-frills cafe. Friendly people. The menu's pretty basic but then you wouldn't come here for a scallops with micro-greens and a balsamic reduction: that said they do offer a gluten-fee breakfast.Full english is done well; they also do a Sunday roast: highlight is their chips which are home-made, freshly cooked and really good.Daily specials and home-made pies & cakes on offer too.Recommended.

I was told to wait at my table for a waitress..in a cafe? Just sat for 5 mins and didn't get asked for my order, I felt ignored.. maybe you dont like younger people in sport clothes? 5mins is a long time in a cafe when your starving. Only about 7 other people in too, all who have already ordered. Wasnt exactly busy.Terrible customer service that I cant help think was due to my appearance (cant think of any other reason why I was ignored)Currently I'm in cottage kitchen. I'm pleased I walked out because cottage kitchen, I've just discovered, is 1000x better in quality and 10000x better in service.
