Absolutely disgusting chips ..not cooked properly

So I thought i would give this place another chance but it backfired on me. Disgusting chip shop, sausage chips with gravy £4. The sausage was soaked in grease with the curry 99% water but the worst of it was the chips 🤢🤮, save your money and just go to seashells 1 minute away.

Battered sausage and cod bites are delicious, chips were slightly over done and the curry sauce was a bit watery. However, it was very polite and excellent service and took about 5 mins in total in the shop. Overall a very tasty tea

Everything is watered down, the gravy was like dish water, the so called garlic sauce was literally white water with zero garlic flavouring. Really disappointed as they used to be the best around.

I used to love this chippy and the chips were always amazing, literally just been there and he cooked me a fresh fish which was lovely but gave me a batch of old horrible chips of which I found about 2 soft ones and the rest I've had to throw away as they were all rock solid and dried up to a crisp, I was very disappointed and was starving as well, so won't be going back again. I've gave a 2 star as the fish was nice and the mushy peas were OK, and the lady on the tills was very friendly, so couldn't fault the service, just the chips which makes the meal really so it was ruined without them.

Did like this chippy a lot ,however the last six or seven times I've been there they are mixing the old batch of chips with the fresh lot so you get these dried out ones amongst the fresh ones. Just had there 2:99 chicken and chips special and the chicken leg was bloody in the middle .think I will go back to seashells ... No wonder they are always looking for staff nobody seems to speak to each other . Saw

First time going here and will definitely not be returning. Well you can see for yourself in the picture it’s disgusting. Chips tasted as if they have been reheated and for £2.75 you don’t really get a lot but on this occasion You wouldn’t want a lot. Absolutely shocking. they was that bad I didn’t even feed them to the seagulls. Definitely worth going to seashells down the road.

Ordered fish and chips and was very disappointed especially regarding the fish in that the although the outer part of the batter appeared to be cooked on the inside the batter was still raw and the fish was just about cooked, which resulted in a bit of a soggy mess. Another 5 minutes in the fryer would have made all the difference.

Just bought (not ate) pie & chips and if I had time it would've been taken back. I had no option but to bin it, wouldn't even have given it to my dog. Definitely not fresh, chips were not hot, old, overcooked, inedible. The pie must've been there for days, again lukewarm so soggy that it just flopped as if it had been microwaved for 5 minutes. If I'm ill from the two chips & 1 bite if the pie I'll be returning with the box from the bin and take action. Absolutely disgusting.

Amazing fish and chips and far the best in Whitley bay. So fresh and tasty, You can tell by just looking at how golden the batter is.I have been there 4-5 times and not been let down once.Highly recommend.
