Inedible, everything was so salty. The containers were half full with barely any sauce. Sweet and sour sauce tasted like pure vinegar. Do not reccommend.

Took an hour and fifteen minutes to get to me. Was luke warm and the container with the salt and chilli chicken was half full. It was stupidly over salted to the point where the chips were inedible and my complaint was dismissed because, that's the portion size and I'm only the counter staff. Didn't care, rubbish food, takes forever to come. Avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid....

If there was a 0 star rating this place would get one. I was expecting a lovely chinese however recieved nothing but vile food, the noodles i ordered had no flavour and were the texture of cardboard. I ordered salt and pepper chips and i genuinely think that they had no pepper on and were covered in salt. i ordered duck for duck pancakes and received duck on the BONE. This put me off my food which ended up going in the bin anyway after one mouth full. I WOULD 100% RECOMMEND TO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. I WANT A FULL REFUND AND WILL BE RINGING TO COMPLAIN FIRST THING IN THE MORNING!!!

Ordered last night, wasn't happy. Ordered bbq spare rids, got 4and a half ribs, wasn't bbq sauce more like weak gravey, disgusting and took them back. Chicken satay, still dehydrated now there was so much salt.Chicken and King prawn chowmain, no king prawns and ordered crispy beef, meant to be hot, no sauce, so dry and just no flavor. Will not be coming back, worst chinese I've ever had

Orded satay sauce expecting chicken and other stuff in the sauce but got nothing paid a ridiculous price for food that I don't even wanna eat. Waste of money, won't go away. The worse Chinese restaurant going, didn't even know their calculations for the actual order.

I ordered from joy of the orient this evening and I’m not happy with the food or service, first of all the estimated time of delivery was 45 mins to an hour and turned out coming 1h30mins after we ordered. I then opened the bag and realised there was no sweet and sour sauce with my chicken balls, first of all I have never been to a Chinese where the chicken balls didn’t come with sweet and sour sauce, and second of all I actually added to the notes section I wanted extra sauce with it. I then called the restaurant and they said I would have to pay for extra for the sauce because chicken balls didn’t come with the sauce, which is fair enough. However they also wanted me to pay £3 for another delivery even though I asked for it the first time. To add on to this, they also said it would take at least 20 mins for the sauce to be delivered even though I live about a 3 min drive from the place. Overall I am very disappointed as the food isn’t the best and the customer service is shocking!!

Honestly don't know what the other reviews are going on about! This is the only place we order from now. The rest of the Chinese takeaways in shields really dont compare. We have salt and chilli dishes which are full of flavour, the chow means are delicious with just the right amount of beansprouts to noddles, and the portions are a great size! We don't order from anywhere else anymore. I'm just gutted that they're shut on Mondays as that's when we normally want to order :(

Just had a meal from them and have to say this was by far the worst Chinese meal I have ever had... Tasteless chicken next to no sweet and sour sauce. Carton filled with onions and peppers to bulk it out. Tastless spare ribs with guess the flavour sauce. And more onions and peppers.... . That's what happens when you play just eat roulette.
