Went today and what a disaster it was .waited 20 mis and no sign of any drinks ,my wife's jacket potato arrived not cooked through and hard 10 mins later my breakfast arrived with no ketchup which I'd asked for after asking at the counter I got some then when I eventually started my lunch parts were cold no drink which arrived as I'd eaten all my lunch terrible service and terrible food

Brilliant!Great Dog Friendly cafe, everything homemade and delicious, the owner and staff made such a fuss of our dog, gave him some treats and water. The breakfasts were delish and very reasonable, great value, great place to eat some proper home made food!

Check your bill. I told staff that I had been overcharged but no apology or any correction change was offered. They were prepared to let me leave. I approached again and said can I get the right change, she gave me half of the change I was owed. Again no agreement that a mistake was made.

Popped in while passing to get a bite to eat, thought it was a bit "twee" at first, you know, cakes, scones, soup etc so only asked for a toasted cheese sandwich and coffee, then watched as a proper belly buster breakfast went past me to a customer on the tables out front. I missed out there as the only menu I could see seemed to involve dogs - only I didn't fancy eating one of those - although it most likely was for them rather than out of them.... I expect. Should have asked.Sandwich was good, but not as good as the breakfast would have been, coffee was good, place is clean, standard chairs and tables inside and out, saw one sofa if you like to lounge, the ladies working inside that day were friendly...but you can never tell, I've seen those movies with nice old ladies, and that single, suspicious doggie menu...well, just saying.

I have been there to benefit from eat out and help out scheme on the Tuesday 18th August 2020. Gandhi, once said, "the greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated". This Cafe gives extraordinary importance to dogs. There are visiting dog pics everywhere and I believe that the owner is a great dog follower/ lover. It was overall an impressive place to hang out. I ordered chicken pie with vegetables lunch menu along with a cappuccino. The food was great as well. I spent over an hour there and found a old lady (customer) who seems to frequently visit this place not just to enjoy the food but also to chat with the owner. In nutshell, this is the place to be for relaxing and to enjoy homemade food. Will visit again next week.

Always love visiting here. The food is lovely and the atmosphere is amazing. It's always nice to relax here. I'm not local to Whitley bay but have lessons across the road so it's nice to come here after a lesson to chill and eat great food.
