Visited on a busy Friday night so there was a queue (made worse by several large orders) and have to admit felt the food was rushed, not the cleanest, and some of it left out for a while. Still, we were served by a young gentleman, think his name was Callum? And despite the stress of the rush, was very polite, professional and served really good portions for us. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting to pay (£23 for two meals) but the food was still delicious and clean tables outside for use. I'm sure if we visited at a less busy time, it would be 5 stars.

My favourite fish and chip restaurant in Tynemouth! Great quality food, not overpriced and super friendly staff.

My partner and i have been going to Marshalls Fish and Chip Restaurant for years and i went recently with two members of my family. Sadly my partner is no longer with us but despite not having eaten there for sometime the staff remembered us and inquired as to the whereabouts of my partner. Marshalls has friendly staff, the food is of excellent quality and the portions are good. The environment is comfortable and clean and of course there are the requisite toilets.

Absolutely THE BEST chip shop I've been to, the fish is to die for really beautiful and fresh. The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Highly recommended.

I'm glad I don't live near Marshalls, I'd have to eat there every day. I assume they use magic oil or something because the chips had so much flavour and the fish was delicious (huge portions too). 15/10 highly recommend

Best fish and chips in Tynemouth! Get there early as there are big queues

Very dated and tired decor. Needs a lot of TLC and modernised. Service and services non existing. Poor quality cooked fish (overly greasy batter) and chips condiment sauces were at an extra cost. Very poor value for money. Unfortunately couldn't recommend a visit based on our experience and hope others enjoyed their experience.

This is the best fish and chips around and the staff here are so friendly.Had chips and curry sauce with batter bits and it was absolutely delicious and well deserved after a few beers the night before!!Well worth a visit if you are in Tynemouth. Thanks!!

Traditional chippy that whose only concession to the passing ages is that they now take card payments and there's outdoor seating. There's probably more than a bit of nostalgia here, I remember queuing for the takeaway counter at the back 40+ years ago as a kid; indoors, the place has barely changed one bit. Just scraped through the door before closing time midweek and can't fault the food that was served or the friendly service.
