A hidden gem in North Shields! Lovely restaurant with amazing food. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and so friendly. Atmosphere was perfect for our occasion which was a girls night out of the more reserved variety but this lovely place would cater for whatever the occasion 😊

As a party of 4, we visited on 18th June, service was brilliant and food was excellent. The best Greek food experience I have had outside of Greece. Keep it up folks. We hope to be back soon.

Well this little gem in North Shields is a family-ran authentic Greek restaurant - with both a Greek & Italian menu.The food takes us back to when we were in Greece on holiday.The staff are so courteous and exemplary in assisting with your order. You’re asked if you would like to taste the wine first before deciding to accept the whole bottle and the waitress was able to confirm our concerns about food allergens.The atmosphere was brilliant, traditional Greek music playing in the background and the restaurant decor makes you feel like you’re back in Greece.They have Mythos and Metaxa at the bar, the Chicken Gyros Portion was cooked beautifully and more than I could finish.I would recommend this restaurant to everyone - but pre-book as they get very busy.

Excellent meals, great staff. Went for a meal on New Year's Eve with my wife and enjoyed the experience. Great value for money, will come again.

Brilliant little Greek restaurant in North Shields. Food and service is amazing. Plenty of room between tables for social distancing. Get yourself here you won't be disappointed

Opa has a good menu, with a wide selection of Greek and Italian foods, at very reasonable prices. We both chose Greek dishes which were absolutely delicious. It is decorated to a high standard and has a cosy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble.Very highly recommended.

My absolute go-to restaurant. 5 stars every time. This is the first time trying a Sunday Lunch. It won't be the last! Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. 3 big melt in the mouth slices of Roast Beef, Roast Potatoes, Mashed Potatoes, Cabbage, Turnip/Carrot Mash, Peas and a gorgeous Gravy finished with a perfect Yorkie Pud! The others went for the Lamb (Which looked beautiful too) and said it was perfect too. They hold special Greek nights (which ALWAYS get booked up fast!) which are so so fun! Their Greek food is gorgeous and so flavoursome. The staff are so friendly and the service is always fab!
