Cracking local restaurant. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The interior was a nice design and menu had some lovely local twists and some nice choices that weren't the norm. I opted for the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce followed by a lush hazelnut and caramel cheesecake. My mam enjoyed her rabbit Wellington and dark chocolate tart. Will definitely return, hopefully without the car to sample some cocktails. There's a carpark 2 minutes walk along the front next to Spanish City which is only £3 for the whole day.

The three things a restaurant needs for success are quality food, good service and ambience. The food was superb, very tasty, plenty of it and no rush to get us to vacate the table or leave.Staff were lovely, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.Nice ambience, the music in the background was unobtrusive and an over all feeling of, for the want of a better word, comfort.

Lovely chilled atmosphere and clearly popular. Had Sunday lunch menu and is good quality and value. Huge portion of Sunday roast with lots of veg, and great crackling. Dessert was homemade but overcooked. Would definitely recommend to others.

I tried all the desserts and I would’t be able to pick my favorite. Loved them all

The place is dog friendly!! Service was punctual, food was tasty and freshly prepared. The pork belly was so tender and good.. couldn't resist all three courses and a coffee. Highly recommended.

I visited with a friend on Saturday 16th October and had a great evening. Sam our server was first rate and made the evening most enjoyable. Added to which the food was amazing and such generous portions. Despite looking at the dessert menu, we decided, we couldn't quite manage it but the other courses, more than made up for missing out on dessert. A wonderful experience!

Sam and Molly were fabulous hosts Food was superb. Partridge and venison were both lovely, unfortunately forgot to take photos of those . Definitely worth visiting.

Fantastic, well-priced classic British (and regional) cuisine. The staff were extremely helpful, too!

Promotional deal for January ; 3 courses for £13. Very good value. Portions generous especially starter of North Sea fishcake and desserts of sticky toffee pudding and spiced apple and rhubarb crumble. Mains braised beef shin casserole very tasty as was pork belly with black pudding mash although couldn't taste much of the black pudding. Had a couple of cocktails for a tenner but found them disappointing ( although to be honest we are not really cocktail regulars ). Every table taken on our visit at 1pm on the 30th.
