Sambuca in North Tyneside

Lovely friendly staff and for those nervous about going out they clean more thoroughly than anywhere I've seen in the past 2 years. They always clean the chairs too which I've not seen anyone else do even though everyone touches the chair back.

Booked a table last minute without a problem, for a Sunday evening meal. Staff attentive and friendly that was the only bonus . What can I say the food was absolutely SHOCKING disgusting, potatoe skins were just thrown on a plate over cooked, no thought . Then the main oh my we ordered the set meal of 17.95 starter main course desert . We ordered the steak asked for it to be medium cooked ...the steak was tough as old boots didn't even taste like steak had a peculiar taste . I asked for the santana sauce white wine with garlic !!! Tasted like sick . I think it had been frozen then heated in the microwave.My husbands was just as bad if not worse. Never again qas

Just awful. I took my daughters for lunch while in the area and I wish I hadn't. The restaurant had a very strong smell of old fat. The skins were thrown onto the dips so we're covered in thick mayonnaise. One daughter asked for ketchup and I can't even explain what it looked like! Pizzas were typical of this type of restaurant but sadly the margarita was covered in dry herbs and the pepperoni which we asked for with no chilli, instead had a strong spicy pepperoni on. My pasta was covered in a watery milk, nothing like the creamy sauce it should have been. The waitress knew we weren't enjoying our meal as she looked embarrassed when she cleared all of our plates. We often visit pizzeria restaurants and get the specials and enjoy them but this is a place I won't re visit. Staff standing on the step smoking is also a big put off for me

My first time here on valentine's day and had the Ribeye steak cooked to perfection, absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced with fun friendly staff. I will be back. 😎👌

Great food and atmosphere very friendly and staff quick service

Best restaurant on the quayside, food is always top notch, service impeccable, never struggle to get table and reasonable prices with steak special nights to drive the price down even further to 17.95 for 3 courses. Personally I'd recommend their fillet steaks, always cooked to perfection, Best sauce is the piazzdilla with the steak which I've probably spelt wrong.

Been to sambuccas today with my friend for lunch, food and service was fantastic, however we got the bill which was £32.35 we put £35 on the plate and never got any change, they just took it for granted the change was a tip, had they returned the change the tip we had was more than the change, however as no change was given we didn't leave the tip we had, you really shouldn't take customers change as, a tip its not always a given!!!

Just finished a excellent meal at sambuca 1... It was outstanding 👍

Most enjoyable. food cooked to a high standard and the staff very friendly. Cheesecake is on the heavy side. Really needs to be light and fluffy as a dessert.
