Sambuca in North Tyneside

The place was very good and the service brilliant, everyone was very polite and friendly. We had the meal deal special at £7.95 and was very good value and even let us swap the coffee for tea, no extra cost which was very good.

We have been coming here for years we travel a long way to get there because it has been our most favourite restaurant for around 6 years until yesterday I was mortified with the food and service firstly the young girl serving was miserable and slouchy and the food we always have the amatriciana pasta dish it is always stunning, not yesterday though there was no taste to it at all and it was very oily it had no olives and two scabby bits of bacon and no flavour at all and the atmosphere has changed where have all the usual staff gone they were great and made it a really good experience, that is twice now we have had a poor experience unfortunately and I hate to say this there won't be a third it has simply gone downhill and very expensive if you don't eat of the lunchtime special you need a mortgage to eat there it is a complete shame and very sad but that is it for us it is simply not worth the travel anymore

I usually love Sambucas but this is the worst one I've been in.Tiny with no draught beer,tables right beside the toilet door.Had Fish and chips ,mushy peas were pureed!No tater sauce on plate,was Mayonaisse!Weird taste too.Large looking fish which was all batter,hardly any fish,batter was nice n crispy,fish was tasteless!Worst Sambucas and only bad meal I've ever had in one.

Service was amazing, allowed tweaks to menu to accommodate us.. food was really tasty..pricing was great... only downside was noisy people at surrounding tables making it difficult to have a conversation with others sat further away at the table as we were a table of 7.

Fish Quay location. Great fish food and pasta choice. Bijou seating inside. Very attentive, welcoming and friendly staff. Excellent lunchtime meal. Recommended.

Just awful. I took my daughters for lunch while in the area and I wish I hadn't. The restaurant had a very strong smell of old fat. The skins were thrown onto the dips so we're covered in thick mayonnaise. One daughter asked for ketchup and I can't even explain what it looked like! Pizzas were typical of this type of restaurant but sadly the margarita was covered in dry herbs and the pepperoni which we asked for with no chilli, instead had a strong spicy pepperoni on. My pasta was covered in a watery milk, nothing like the creamy sauce it should have been. The waitress knew we weren't enjoying our meal as she looked embarrassed when she cleared all of our plates. We often visit pizzeria restaurants and get the specials and enjoy them but this is a place I won't re visit. Staff standing on the step smoking is also a big put off for me

My first time here on valentine's day and had the Ribeye steak cooked to perfection, absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced with fun friendly staff. I will be back. 😎👌

Most enjoyable. food cooked to a high standard and the staff very friendly. Cheesecake is on the heavy side. Really needs to be light and fluffy as a dessert.

Don’t think we have ever had a bad meal. This place has to be the best thing about moving to the north east, the quality, the price of the food and the way it makes you feel afterwards! The staff are awesome too! Thanks Sambuca!!
