Simpsons Cafe & Bistro in North Tyneside

Lovely little Bistro, we couldn't have been made more welcome. The host Derek and his lovely wife Uci were absolutely great. Delicious Indonesian food at a very good price. Exceptional food and service. Will definitely return on our next visit to the North East.

Highly recommended. Food was superb. Felt comfortable with the hospitality received. 10/10.

Just had sunday lunch at simpsons. Got to say it was fantastic. cant fault it the beef was so tender and the vegetables were perfectly cooked 10/10

A hidden gem in Newcastle! Had a very lovely lunch in Simpsons Cafe! Must-say this is the best Indonesian food I've ever tried in the UK coming from an Indonesian! The owners Derek and Uci were so welcoming and friendly to us from start to end. We tried most of the menu and we'd say each of them is a 10 out of 10 for us. This is definitely a must visit place, totally recommend the Opor Ayam! We will surely be visiting again, wish we found this place sooner :)

Went for an evening meal with family. It's a small little cafe/restaurant serving Indonesian food which was absolutely delicious, even my 13 year old ate it all! I can honestly say the warm welcome and attention from the owner and staff was one of the best I have had in an eatery, but not just the staff, even the fellow diners were incredibly friendly and welcoming (maybe it's a North East thing?). Enjoyed it so much we went back for breakfast the next day and again wasn't disappointed, they were very accommodating in the meals especially for 2 much younger children who again ate it all. Thoroughly recommend Simpson's Cafe If you're in Whitley Bay. (didn't see Homer though but did take Elvis :)

Friendliest and most welcoming restaurant I have ever been to. Relaxing and laid back. The food was out of this world. 💫On a short break in Witley Bay, I popped in for a coffee with my Grandmother and liked the place so much I brought the family back later for an Indonesian meal.Even came back the next day for an english breakfast! There was choice for everyone, the most eaters, vegetarians and even my fussy eater youngest child.We were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much bother and the kids were kept happy and laughing the whole time. By far the easiest and best night out I've had.

Best restaurant in whitley bay. Authentic Indonesian food cooked superbly. Simpsons has a great atmosphere and serves Great drinks. The staff are without doubt the friendliest and most welcoming I have ever encountered This is a must visit place 👍

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere with the friendliest host you could ever meet! Food was amazing so fresh and tasty, definitely recommend the beef, we will certainly be back! Brilliant.

Great experience at SimpsonsAwesome customer service we felt very welcome. The food and drinks menu was explained to us in detail and they understood and accommodated our dietary requirements very well. Food delicious with nice touches. We will be back again!

Just had our first meal here tonight and everything about this place is amazing. Fabulous food and even the "small portions " were a really good size. The butter prawns were to die for as were the spring rolls. Beef rendang and Prawn curry were very tasty. My husband enjoyed his Goose IPA and even the pot of tea had 2 teabags in....never had this before!! What really added to the experience was the excellent and really friendly service from the 2 ladies.Wish we had found this place sooner as it's local to us but now we intend to visit regularly. Will look forward to our next visit.Well done all at Simpsons
