The Bay Horse Inn in North Tyneside

A good sized pub, with a family friendly atmosphere. The last few meals I've had have been tasty, though during one takeaway, they missed a few items. It can get busy and this can add an hour to your wait for food. They have a pool table and dartboard in the bar area. They sell the usual collection of drinks with a few guest ales.

Unfortunately, not good. I'm must say, the staff were lovely but the food was a big disappointmentBoth my son and I ordered different steaks but both were pretty bad.I won't blame the chef, maybe the cut of meat? Eating the steak was more like a workout than the pleasure of having a meal cooked for you. May go back but would never order the steak again

We never actually got anything to eat - when we had been seated for 10 minutes we were then told the food would take 45 minutes to come. It wasn't especially busy and was a weekday lunchtime. We have eaten there in the past and the food can be very nice but seems to be rather inconsistent.

Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Staff were really helpful. Pity the toilets haven't been updated for 30 years.

Lovely meal a couple of weeks ago. Two meals for £9:50. We chose Gammon ,chips and peas and decent bottle of wine £10.99 Pleasant staff ,quick service .

Been here few times the food been good everytime. And the staff are so friendly. Plus the offers and freebies with the sizzling pub app. Was there last night and would just like to take the time out and say the lady Michelle is absolutely lovely she.s a credit to that establishment. Goes above and beyond thank u 😊😊

We went Sunday 2nd Jan for lunch. The first table we tried to sit at was dirty but second table was clean. Cutlery was brought to our table and one fork was visibly dirty so had to ask for another. My salmon was overcooked and the rice was cool. Nobody came to check if the food was ok like restaurants normally do. Our two other meals were ok and quick service.

Myself and my best friend visited for our tea before we went to cinema. The food was absolutely fantastic starters and mains, perfectly cooked as ordered and a decent size portion for the price. Recommend this place to anyone

Saturday 9th of October 10 of us had an evening meal. Service was excellent and the staff went out of the way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The meals were of good quality and piping hot and seeing as there was so many of us we hardly had to wait at all. It's a credit to the new management team how much they have transformed this pub as it's a place I used to avoid. Strongly recommend

Perfect place to stop if your going through the Tyne Tunnel.Staff are friendly and helpful.It's a Sizzling Pub so standard fare across the range, but the food is good and better quality than most chains. We ordered 10 starters on the 5 for £15 deal and it was delicious.
