Wetherspoon's are generally hit and miss. On holiday or at the end of a day trip they are a good and handy budget option to feed the family without breaking the bank. Especially the drinks pricing policy for both soft and alcoholic drinks. However some are pretty grim, some are nice and plenty in-between. In this instance The Wouldhave is excellent. The customer service, the staff are great, the freshness of the food and even the steaks cooked great. This Wetherspoons set's a benchmark for what all the other Wetherspoons should aspire to.

Great staff, polite, professional and helpful.Prices are great whith a good stock of beers, as well as a full variety of other drinks, alcoholic or non.Not sure of food, as we have not eaten in here.Alway a lot of others eating though, so can only imagine the foods is good.If you want a quiet drink away from the kids though, this certainly is not the pub for you.Unfortunately one or two parents do allow children to run around uncontrollably, without discipline.Staff do seem to be relaxed on this point and allow this to slip by, which is a shame, as this can and does spoil the experience for many others. On the whole though, if you pick your days and times rite, this can be a very enjoyable public house to drink in.

Spot on, busy friendly and clean with great food... One of the few places I would order fish and chips with confidence of having a great meal... Nice outside space that can usually accommodate you...

There were app issues and issues in payments being taken twice. It took a long time to get served with only one person serving whilst another pottered around behind the bar, ignoring the long queue. It was a 45min wait for food. The server was rude, didn't offer any apology and was very unhelpful when trying to ask what to do about the double payments. We ended up leaving and going home, having wasted our only time to eat a meal waiting here.

A relaxing place with some nice selection of beverages. As an ale man I always enjoy the selection they have on offer. The staff are always warm and friendly with a good selection of food. Definitely Recomend a visit if you are in town and the prices are reasonable as well..

It's a bog standard Spoons but you know what you're going to get, there is plenty of space and the people were nice. I had a couple of decent pints from the Allendale brewery. I'd go back in gladly.

Well run and recently refurbished. Other than that it's pretty typical.Like many, parking is available but might require a (very) short walk.In that respect it is better served with available parking than many other 'spoons

No surprises regarding food selection and value for money. The usual Wetherspoons menu, can't go wrong. Service was very good. This is a popular place and just managed to get a table. As usual, can order using the App.

Visited the new and improved Wouldhave three times now. Very impressed! Great re-vamp, looks lovely inside with one of the best outdoor spaces, verandas, I've had the pleasure to visit, best in Shields! Food great value for money, had the mixed grill. Would definitely recommend a visit be it just for drinks or for a meal. I will be back!!!
