Yes this was my 1st time to eat there...l went with friend's and really enjoyed the food and the place its self...Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean ..We will definitely be going again..1st Class..

I ate here in August 2021. Most of the customers in this restaurant are locals who come here regularly. That's very different to the ones at the seafront that rely on tourists and day-trippers. My veg jalfrezi was excellent, with a rich mix of flavours. Friendly staff. Very highly recommended.

100% recommended! We stumbled upon this place whilst up from London visiting a nearby holiday park. We fancied an Indian meal and chose this place from a choice of several in the immediate vicinity. Following lockdown, the restaurant has been fully refurbished inside and it looks delightful! When speaking with the manager, it was interesting to learn his family decorated the ceiling and some of the finishing touches were handcrafted by the boss himself! Staff were very friendly, attentive, and good conversationists! They seemed to enjoy and feel proud working there. Onto the menu and food...well, what can I say! The choice was huge and there were several dishes I have never seen or heard of before. I choose a podina which has fresh mint, coriander and lemon juice as part of the ingredient line up, and delicious it was, with all of the ingredients being tasted individually too I.e. exactly as described! It was great choosing something different, and the majority of dishes could be made with a choice of meat, seafood or vegetables. So, if you are vegetarian, you will have a massive choice of dishes to choose from! Thank you for the mini dessert too! Do not hesitate to visit - you will not be disappointed! And they have made a huge effort to get the business back up and running since lockdown! :-)

Every few months we hire the whole place out. They serve and manage a large crowd really well. The food is pretty good too. Would be nice of they had a cider on tap but plenty of bottle selection.

Been in this restaurant on many occasions and the food is of a very high standard I have a choice of 4 Indian restaurants where I live but prefer to travel down to Whitley bay to eat here the staff value your custom and give you a warm welcome on arrival so looking forward to when the restaurant can reopen but in the meantime I will continue to use Whitley bay tandoori for takeaway food

Delicious food, much better than other Indian cuisine available in whitley bay. The restaurant is a little tired looking and could do with a bit of a makeover although it's always spotlessly clean. Staff are very nice, always make you feel very welcome and can't do enough for you. Will keep going here. Great food offers on too, you get a five course meal for £11.95 on Thursday and Sunday.
