The perfect venue and food for my grandads wake. Staff couldn’t do enough to help

Sat 23rd 2.05pm, young lad with beard and headset downstairs was plain rude to us, dismissive attitude, visibly angry we asked for directions to lift. Arrogant guy, unpleasant first contact with the company for sure, put him on dishes. Food was ok, just ok.. high end prices not warranted. Bit of a ripoff. Most of the other staff were nice, some were excellent. But felt they're all really pressured, likely the company not putting enough people on, hence they're all stressed, which transfers on to customers. Imo, greedy company that cares more about bottom line than their staff or their customers. Great potential if owners stop penny pinching, currently not recommended.

Small portions (I am greedy though) but the food was delicious. I ordered the steak and although it wasn't quite as rare as I'd asked for, it was very tasty. The staff were friendly and despite it being quite busy were very eager to keep content. The atmosphere was good and the decor is very nice, very well cleaned and maintained. It's on the pricier side but it's certainly a place where you pay for the higher quality and that's certainly what you get.

Ok so I got a bit excited & devoured half of my plate before I remembered to take a photo (oops!). Always had a lovely experience here when visiting morpeth! Got to love the fish finger sandwiches & onion rings! Delish as always. All I would love is if there could be different size lattes available…. As I always drink my caramel latte within seconds but there’s a cafe around the corner that do larger mugs so I enjoy it that little bit more lol.

Pretty standard chain restaurant fare, burgers are fine. Nice room and nice staff.

Enjoyed a lovely experience here last Sunday. Nice laid back surroundings. Excellent value for money, you can get 3 courses for £20 and the cocktails are 2 for £10. Food very tasty. Perfect.

The 2nd time visiting, in as many weeks...Escaping the throng of the Toon and the Christmas shoppers . Its about a 20 minute journey to Morpeth by train. Then a 10 minute walk into the town centre....if you run ;) A well ran establishment. Warm inside & plenty of choice on the menu. We had the Christmas lunch...Turkey and all the trimmings...very nice it was too.

The service was good, though it was very quiet when we went. The food all came at once for the table of 6. I found the portions were all quite small, and the food itself was nice. The steak wasn't cooked rare like was asked.

I was disappointed that if I want to order afternoon tea I had to order 4 day in advance. I think my sandwich would curl by the time I eat or sat down. Otherwise ordered 2 sharing players one of each which was good. I wish there was more cocktails on the menu.
