Another old fashioned pub with friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere especially on the first Wednesday of every month at the folk music session well organised with good music and poetry and stories for all to enjoy

Fabulous place to stay. Thoroughly recommend. The owner was more than accommodating considering we arrived very late in the evening. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and nothing was too much trouble. The waitress was friendly and with a lovely genuine smile Thankyou Colin and Liz Willis 🇦🇺 🐨

Have visited the Barrasford Arms when staying in the area (January 2022). Food is delicious and the staff and locals are friendly. I’d certainly recommend!We stayed in Barrasford for a second time and it was rude not to visit the Barrasford Arms (May 2022) and we weren’t disappointed. Food delicious (we can’t recommend the Sunday dinners or Thursday night burger night enough) and the staff and locals are so friendly you feel part of the village family.

Love this pub. We were a group of older motorbike riders and had booked all the rooms. We were very well looked after, good food, comfy beds and the quiz hostess was brilliant. We are already planning to return. Highly recommend

Good Friday Fish and chips, absolutely superb and the staff were professional, courteous and helpful. The sticky toffee pudding was awesome

Fantastic food and ready loverly staff in a wonderful part of the country.Stayed here several times and will definitely be back.Good base if you're planning to visit parts of Hadrian's Wall and the surrounding Roman sites.

Lovely meal in charming surroundings. We're not big eaters, but portions a bit mean. Fabulous rice pud though

Amazing pub with excellent food and service. We stopped here at random looking for some food and were very pleasantly surprised. Beautifully decorated, bright and lovely furniture etc with real fire. We had meals of duck, pheasant and fish and chips - all fantastic top notch food and reasonably priced. Also provided a high chair for our baby! Highly recommend - we will definitely be returning next time we're in the area!

We held day two of our wedding celebrations at The Barrasford Arms. A great space with spacious (recently redecorated) rooms and brilliant outdoor space with lovely countryside views.Victoria and Michael were brilliant in supporting us with the planning and we did this virtually initially due to the pandemic. They had great ideas, provided us with feedback, incredibly accommodating and flexible. We also had a buffet on the day which was delicious and Michael and his team created for us.During the day we had the New York Brass band which worked perfectly in the outside area and we even had a conga!We had use of the pub for the whole day and we and some of guests used the newly refurbished rooms to stay and rest our heads after a fantastic day with friends and family. We were then greeted with a great breakfast in the morning.Victoria and Michael are such a lovely couple with enthusiasm and passion for the work they do and it really does come across as a vocation. The whole team are friendly and attentive. They really are brilliant and just a huge thank you for us in helping continue our wedding celebrations. We can’t wait to visit again in the future and wholly recommend!
