Cafe Vault in Northumberland

Great food and wide variety of drinks. Really interesting menu, unusual and very tasty dishes

Called in here for lunch, we ordered 2 soup of the day with bread, 1goats cheese with rocket, pear and walnuts drizzled with honey served on a flatbread which we shared. The portions were excellent, add 1 beer 1 milkshake with whipped cream and a diet coke total bill under £30 which was great value for money.The staff here were friendly and apologetic about the wait, which given it was lunchtime and they were full, it certainly wasn't excessive.Called here again a couple of weeks later and was pleasantly surprised that the staff recognised us despite it being so busy on our 1st visit. Once again the food and service were excellent.

The breakfasts are very nice...we love that the items come separately and very well presented..The decor is amazing..(would look lovely even with the beautiful lights off..you could save a fortune 😉) the owner is a lovely lady and staff always seem pleasant.. the cakes look really nice although I've never tried one due to always being full off breakfast.

This is a new must stop for coffee (2 Flat whites extra hot) for me and the missus, every Saturday at 11am ish, the staff are 1st class and the quality is superb, the food is awesome too, the best independent coffee shop in Morpeth and we have tried them all, won't be going elsewhere again for our independent coffee in Mopeth, 10/10.

First visit for 2 years after time outside the uk. Slightly more expensive than some other cafes but quality is very good and espresso coffee is excellent (and I say that as an Italian resident!). Excellent bacon roll and these ladies know their coffee.

We decided to treat ourselves to a nice lunch whilst doing some Christmas Shopping in Morpeth First we tried an attractive Italian Restaurant but was told that we wouldn't be served quickly, we then tried another recently opened restaurant in an old Hotel, where we were told that if we wanted a light lunch then they didn't have much to offer. Slightly disillusioned by the welcome so far, we came across the Cafe Vault. It was welcoming, friendly and just what we needed. Pleased that the other bigger restaurants put us off so we could discover this gem of a place.
