Caffe Tirreno in Northumberland

We had an excellent, very good value meal here on Monday 28th March and are returning Saturday 2nd April. We shared freshly cooked calamari - light and delicious; the tuna main course was perfectly cooked and the pizza generous; delicious ice cream. House wine good. Service speedy and first class.

Visited with my partner on a busy Saturday evening. Staff were so friendly and attentive, nothing was too much. The food was absolutely delicious; piping hot, very authentic and reasonably priced.We had not been to Caffè Tirreno before but will definitely be back next time we are in Alnwick!

We have dined here on many occassions, it is our favourite restaurant. Caffe Tirenno is the measure by which we gauge other restaurants. It is a hard act to follow. As usual, our meal earlier this month was excellent. My wife prefers the peperoni pizza and I tried the Chicken Milanese which was superb. Dora's smiling face always makes us feel welcome, the atmosphere is homely and comfortable. Thank you for being here. X

Really, really try this restaurant.We stayed in Alnwick for a few days and stumbled over this place by accident.We had the best meal and evening out that we've had for a long time.The welcome as we arrived was so friendly and the food was perfect. The quality of everything was so very good and the timing was spot on.I seriously can't recommend this restaurant enough... You'll have to find out for yourself!Oh.. And try the panna cotta.

First night in Northumberland and we decided to book a table at this restaurant.Lovely food, in fact EXCEPTIONAL FOOD!Great service and definitely a nice place to relax.Highly recommend a try.

Very good! We stumbled across this as there weren't any pubs open for lunch, but very glad we did. Friendly service and willing to check picky dietary requirements for us. The food was refreshingly good! Would recommend.

Lovely food, friendly staff and good value for money.

Excellent restaurant! We had dinner there and the service was superb and the pizza and pasta we had was to die for. To top it all off, it was very reasonably priced. Highly recommend, we will definitely be going back!

Really enjoyed our visit to Cafe Tirreno for lunch today. The pasta was piping hot when it came to the table and it tasted as good as it looked. The service was excellent and we would certainly return the next time we're in Alnwick.

Beautiful food, good size portions and excellent value for money. Good social distancing between tables, sanitiser on every table, track and trace in place. Staff, friendly and professional. Felt very safe here and very well looked after.
