Very disappointed we were told they were short on staff and there was a party in another area but we had to wait a long time while other people who came in after us received their order, when our food came the starter was good the main was ok the chips way over done, the pudding was delicious.

Food was a bit pricey but the quality was top class and worth the price

4 of us went here @ponteland the staff are great and the food was lush, the day before I went to a Greene king pub ate lamb shank mash and veg which was not the best for the same price . I got the shawarma chicken board couldn't eat it all and far superior to the Greene king microwave meal I had the day previous

We visited tge Steakhouse for an overnight stay and evening meal. The accommodation was clean and bright. The meal was very good. My steak was overcooked but still tasty. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. We would definitely return.

Very impressed, staff were great attentive and informative. It was not z busy night. Would have been 5 but not sure why chef cut steak into pieces.

Great casual dining in this popular roadside steakhouse. Booked for Saturday evening and it was a busy night at Tomahawk. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff took drinks and food order. Food arrived very quickly - before drinks - but our server soon chased things up. Delicious main course - beautifully cooked and presented with excellent flavours and perfect steaks. Fairly standard choices of starters and desserts but nothing to complain about. A friendly, and fairly fast meal, in a bustling atmosphere. Great for a group or family occasion.

Service was terrible, sat down at half seven, it took half an hour to even get some drinks, when the food came the sides were wrong, my partner had the wrong chips and I had the wrong sauce, couldn’t be bothered to complain as it took that long so we just ate the food, sat there for another hour, before anyone cleared the plates,we were laughing to ourselves at how bad it was, finally someone came over to offer us the dessert menu, another half an hour passed so we had to get up and go and ask for the dessert menu, same for paying the bill too! Very overpriced food for what it is, won’t be coming back.

Looks can be deceiving and apart from the taste of burnt steak, that’s the taste I was left with in my mouth when I left Tomahawk in Ponteland.Unfortunately, the food was overwhelmingly underwhelming and the high expectations I had were shattered, much like my teeth, when digging in to the sharing platter we had.Regrettably we won’t be returning in future, much like the table by us who had similar complaints to the food they were served.Then to add insult to injury, the waitress tried to pass off the 10% optional service charge on us as it was already included on our final bill and we had to embarrassingly request for it to be removed.Honestly I wouldn’t go and spend your money on the steak here, you’d be best off at Wetherspoons.

1st meal I sent back because the steak wasn't hot they took the whole plate away and replaced the full meal.Chips were out of this world steak was OK service was exceptional.My 1st visit to a Tomahawk I'd return for the service and those chips.If only Miller & Carter did those chips and service but their steaks are streets ahead of Tomahawk.

In the past we’ve had cold food and mixed up orders, but today couldn’t be faulted, Steaks are amazing, as you would expect, staff are attentive, venue is comfortable. Me he is well varied with children’s options. Access is via steps, just two with the wheelchair access being thought patio doors between table’s limiting you to the bottom dinning area. Overall very good.
