Charltons in Northumberland

Charlton's is always a firm favourite of mine and my husband's. Food is delicious and service is quick. We visited there for fish and chips on Thursday having not visited since the start of the pandemic and it's still great.

Food is absolutely lovely, cooked to order so nice and fresh. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back

I am currently on holiday and whilst on holiday I looked up restaurants near me. The first to come up was called Charltons Bar and Restaurant. Getting there was simple enough because it was very close to my lodge. When we got there it was surprisingly quiet. We sat down to order and I ordered the classic burger. The staff were friendly and there was a pool table which I enjoyed playing on. When my food arrived it had within lettuce, tomato and cucumber which they admitted to mention came with the burger on their menu. This was easily fix able and once I had fixed it I enjoyed it very much. The chips were incredible and one of the best I have ever tasted. The burger was well cooked and very well proportioned. Very nice and would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful place. Great food, good portions, dog friendly and lovely staff. Highly recommended to eat in or take away. Will definitely be returning!

Called in here for a quick coffee at the weekend and ended up buying homemade cakes and the best cheese scones in the world. The lunches looked fabulous too so we will be back to try them. They have added a chippy which we also want to try. Such friendly service and a great location, what's not to like?

Only been in the shack alongside Charltonpub. Just recently discovered the area. Lovely friendly manageress who served me coffee & ice-cream for my grandson. Fabulous walk along beach with small kids park nearby. Real quiet, clean little gem on Northumberland coast.How glad I am that we found this place. My dog goes crazy on cambois beach, he just loves it & so do I. So many friendly doggie people to speak to on our walk from river wansbeck to North blyth if the tide is out. The Shack do amazing fish & chips when you've worked up an appetite.We are now firm fans of Sunday lunch at Charltons. Very tasty choice of 4 meats with good portions of vegetables served by very friendly lasses. Tomato soup starter is fabulous as is pudding especially apple crumble pie. Highly recommended.

A very nice surprise coming across this pub.Afternice walk along the beach we decided to haveSunday dinner. Food was very nice and the staffcouldn’t help you any more.

Absolutely delicious fish&chips staff very friendly service very good large range of choices including ice creams sweets beer cider.

Lovely pub and lovely food ,it's well placed on a excellent beach which is only a 2 minute walk away
