Delaval Arms in Northumberland

Popped in for a quick drink today, was a very nice pub, seemed a lot bigger inside than I thought.Haven't had any food here but will at some point. The Sunday dinners look canny good from what I saw

Lovely historic pub, great history and story. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Quirky decor. Comfy, relaxing atmosphere. Tasty food although menu selection more limited than expected, food service quick, good portion sizes and dishes well presented. Micro brewery on site. Good drink options. Would return and definitely recommend.

Great pub , excellent service and fantastic food , not forgetting the lovely pint . Doggy friendly which is a bonus . Can't wait to go back , it was a lovely find after a fabulous walk through the Dene .

Recently visited for a wake held in the upstairs function rooms and were extremely well looked after by Laura, who deserves a special mention and made sure that everyone was well looked after - even those that couldn't manage the stairs so ended up downstairs in the bar. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious and in abundance, plus the decor in the function rooms was fresh and quirky.I look forward to visiting again in the future the next time I'm in the area.

Stopped off her for a quick lunch bite. Very nice friendly staff, who were very welcoming. I had the cumberland sausage with spring onion mash and gravy, all I can say is wow the mash was amazing. Would go again if I was in the area, thumbs up from me

We enjoyed great meals from the January special menu, Pale Ælle a refreshing Session IPA brewed in house to accompany!

Thoroughly impressed with the food. The halloumi fries lovely, and the bread and olives where fantastic. Chicken and chorizo burger was delicious. The steak was tasty and the fish and chips great. The Cumberland sausage was a little too spicy for my liking. We had issues with one main that was forgotten…however I cannot fault the staff. The issue was sorted to our satisfaction. All in all great service and the food was excellent quality for the money.

I met up with friend's for the 1st time meal at the Delaval Arms. We ordered a Fish finger sandwich (£7.00) l asked for a Fish Finger sandwich without the Bread and no Lettuce due Dietary problems...When it Arrived l was to say the least shocked...l got 4 pieces of fish and tartar sauce..(£7.00)Charge full price.... l was not offered any alternative to the Bread..ie. perhaps a few chips would not have gone amiss.. My friend got 5 pieces of fish in her sandwich..See Photos..

Food is top-notch.We only went for a few drinks and nibbles.Had a starter then ended up ordering the main course and deffo worth it.Highly recommend.19/06.Yet again 5-star service with all the staff.This is the fourth time we've been now and ordering different food from the menu every time we go it's with a 10/10.I can not recommend this place enough.If you haven't been yet.? I highly recommend one.Yet again amazing food and service 10/07/21.Steak was unreal and well worth every penny,Service and management more then you can ask for.Massive thank you to Michael, Simon and Ed. Family run business with exceptional food and staff service today.We are so pleased to have enjoyed a birthday meal here today, what exceptional service, hospitality and food. Top it off the weather was great too. Pictures do not do the food justice.Lovely, just lovely.
