Dewley Fish Bar in Northumberland

If there was a minus button I'd press it. Absolutely shocking what they class as fish and chips.... All burnt, well, charred may be a better word. The batter want crispy a all, just a soggy mess. We will never use again and will stop as many others as possible too. Just awful!!!!

I ordered 1cod and chips , 1 haddock and chips jumbo sausage peas and curry sauce. It cost £23.10 total waste of money. Fish was burned my wife even took a photo to show our friends. The chips were disgusting dry and hard .I would not recommend and I would NEVER use this chippy again. I telephoned to tell the staff and all she said was oh sorry!!!!!!

Service is slow, one taking and getting the meals and one cooking when it was packed. Kebab and chips had a rubber texture which was awful. Kebab wasn’t that good, trying to saying it’s a “premium” kebab meat, highly doubt that! Chips were half ok but still wouldn’t recommend this chippy, was a lot better with the old owner. Next time I would rather go to brockwell where you’re never dissatisfied with the food!

New owners, but still Great service, Great food which is cooked to order if you don't mind a short wait.

First time had a delivery from Dewley Fish bar, absolutely great it came red hot and was the best we have had in a very long time if ever. The chips were amazing. Highly recommended

First time I've been here and must say that was one of the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Firstly the place is spotless, it looks brand new and everything is sparkling clean. Service was fast but there was a short wait as the fish is cooked fresh, the chips were quite fresh also and nicely cooked, not greasey and soft. The curry sauce was nice, not too thick and not too spicey. Even got the food in a large paper bag, which kept it warm and is recyclable, rather than a plastic bag which gets filled with condensation. Highly recommend.

A high quality fish & chip shop. The fish & chips we had were freshly made and tasted delicious. We will definitely be getting takeaways from here more regularly! Thanks again :)

Best fish n chips for miles around, possibly best I've ever had, but more importantly is that it's every time! So glad I found this place. Lovely staff too (unusual in a chip shop), and always clean. If it was located elsewhere there'd be queues down the street. Wish them continued success, keep it up. Ta
