Di Sopra in Northumberland

This is a restaurant I come back to all the time! , on my own and with friends. You'll get a fantastic menu to coose from - including Italian coffee gelatto! - as well as excellent and friendly service.And the food is the best I've had in a long time.A typically Italian family-run restaurant offering delicious and beautifully presented food.I highly recommend Di Sopra.

Loved it!Pizzas are with real cheese and homemade tomato sauce. Thin crust and it tastes like made in a wooden oven.We also had risotto di Mare and it was made on the spot. You have to wait, but it is worth the wait. Bread is good crispy/soft baguette.Wine prices are reasonable but I don't know what the prices are locally. The gelato was exactly what you would expect from a nice gelato.I plan to come back!

Very friendly staff,3 course meal was good value for money and also very tasty. Well worth a visit anytime.

So glad we found this place. The pizza is amazing traditional pizza with a thin elastic base, good quality ingredients. They are as good as my grandma's fries.

We were looking for a place in Alnwick for dinner and this came recommended.We’re glad we came here. Friendly & fast service and good food.We had the young kids with us so didn’t go all out, but the kids loved their pizzas and we really enjoyed our meal.We’d definitely go back.

First time for me and my husband here, could only get a table for 8clock there where busy as ever over restaurant was aswell, so went at 8clock. Staff where lovely and friendly, good choice on the menu. I had bruschetta for my starter with mozzarella cheese there was a few different options it was nice. My husband had piccante starter said it was nice too. My husband had fillet steak with the mushrooms sauce it was lush cooked to perfection. I had a taste too was so good. I had the pollo rosmarino which was the chicken with garlic and white wine sauce with vegetables was nice but once I tasted my husband steak I wanted that one lol nothing wrong with my meal I just liked that one better lol no desserts we where too full I would recommend this restaurant to any1 and we would definitely go back.

The service was very quick and the staff were friendly. The price was reasonable, however we felt the food lacked flavour. The starter (bruschetta) was far too oily, the main (med veg pasta) was watery and vegetables were tough, and the dessert (pistachio fondant) had been microwaved and I burnt my mouth. Having said that I enjoyed the ice cream. I probably won't be going again.Again, the staff and service were good. The pricing was reasonable. The food was disappointing.

Lovely food, good service and good value. Five of us ate here last night and all really enjoyed it. The steaks were cooked perfectly.

Looked everywhere for a quick bite to eat in Alnwick centre, everywhere had queues or was closed. We stumbled upon this place and were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely the food was! Even had a vegan option which my partner ordered and it was delicious. I had the vegetarian "crespelle" (see pic), very tasty and a good portion. Service was good and attentive. Not too expensive. We enjoyed a glass of house wine too. Decor not amazing but who cares when you're starving 😁 would return!
