We booked a table for lunch on 2/6/22 during our week’s holiday in Amble after reading some great reviews, and I can safely say Jasper’s deserve 5 stars. It’s a really cool, rustic bistro with just 4 tables so you need to book! Great friendly service, I liked that you can see the chef at work, and the meal was exceptional. Husband had scallops to start which were so tender, and fillet steak for his main which was one of the best he’s ever had. I had chilli crab soup (delicious) and seafood risotto which was amazing and included a whole crab, mussels and other fish; the chef gave me some tips on eating the crab ( first time for me) and said the meal should be an experience which it truly was.If you want to treat yourself to a special meal out then I highly recommend Jaspers, it’s not cheap but we would go back again anytime. Oh and Jasper’s is very dog friendly too, bringing a bowl of water and homemade dog biscuits to the table.

What an absolutely superb restaurant. The food was possibly the best seafood we have ever had (from anywhere in the world), whilst the service and welcome was top class too. Highly recommended. I have added pictures of the fish pie and curried sea-bass...delicious!

What a gem of a restaurant. It's small and cozy. The food is amazing - fresh ingredients freshly cooked, beautifully presented. Fresh herbs, samphire, pea shoots accompany the dishes. They take great care about allergies. The guys are so friendly and welcoming. The kind of place you keep going back to and never get bored of the food or surroundings.

Probably one of the nicest restaurants I have ever been to...Very intimate, fantastic service & superb food.I could not fault it...

It's gone up a notch!We visit the area regularly and we had our annual pilgrimage to Jasper's and we felt it exceeded previous experiences we had enjoyed.The new 'lighter' ambience works, the 'front of house' service projects warmth and the food was sublime. This restaurant is an absolute must for any foodie!

Cannot rate this place highly enough. Visited recently for a special birthday and can honestly say I have never been to a better fish restaurant ever. It' s only a small Bistro with 4 tables but the food- OMG - absolutely delicious 😋. I had the best Fish Pie ever and my husband had the lobster - caught the same day for mains. Starters were the Sardines and Chicken Livers- again delicious. It' s not a cheap night out but definitely worth every penny. Staff and the Chef are great and happy to explain and falk through the menus. Without a doubt we will be back.

Ate here last night and had a fantastic experienceThere’s only 3 staff and they all care so much about the customers that you can’t not enjoy yourself!Food was amazing - such fresh sea food and big flavours!They cater to vegans with a couple options but they even made us something off menu with the ingredients they had and it was a delicious mushroom curry - clearly a talented chefWould come back again!

An excellent place to eat locally sourced extra fresh seafood . The decor of the restaurant is tasteful and the food and its presentation faultless . I wasn’t expecting to find this in Amble !

Brilliant food and great service!We started with a beautifully balanced mackerel ceviche and local Lindisfarne oysters.Mains were a perfectly cooked sea bream fillet on a fragrant and richly spiced broth and a wonderful, deep and rich bouillabaisse. We were told there were no mussels to go with the bouillabaisse that day, so they were substitued for a half lobster!Desert was freshly made dohghnuts with a zingy raspberry compote and clotted cream, topped with lots of candles for my fiancée’s birthday.I could not recommend them highly enough and cannot wait to go back and sample the rest of the menu!
