Food is fantastic and lots of it huge portion sizes for the price will be back

Mother's Day lunch, we arrived a few mins before our booking and we were refused entry and told to wait outside in the cold until our table was ready. We ordered 3 beef Sunday dinners and 1 afternoon, only to be told the afternoon tea needed pre-booking which we were not made aware of. So it was 4 beef Sunday dinners, only to be told there was no beef as the first sitting ate it all !! So turkey it was, 50 mins later we finally got our food. We spent that time watching everyone else eat their starters, whilst 3 members of staff stood chatting at the bar. Will not be going back there, they could have totally ruined the day if let them !!

I really do not like leaving mediocre reviews but we were quite disappointed as we turned up at 1.50pm for table booked at 2pm on mothers Day and told to stand outside with no explanation why. 3 out of 4 of our party asked for beef off the menu and was told, we can't have beef because we sold out at the first serving. So we had to make do with rolled turkey and stuffing FFS. This was a book a table event, so management should have taken preorders for food so not to disappoint. We did not order a starter but were made to wait until starters were finished and started serving main meals and took 45 mins from ordering to plates on the table. They quite clearly overstretched their service level. The staff were not attentive and did not receive at tip. The food and decor was nice. This is a cafe aspiring to be restaurant, shame but won't be returning. Ohhh.P.S the live singer was very good but way too loud as we had to shout at our elderly mother as she is hard of hearing.

Today my brother and myself took our mam and sis in law mother for afternoon tea for mothers day I have to say what a perfect afternoon we had beautiful tea and atmosphere with singer on guitar he was amazing staff worked hard to cater for our needs cocktail on entrance afternoon sandwiches cakes and scones lovely very impressed xx

Food was nice, place is decorated amazing loved that. Staff were good and bad, some lovely and others face tripping them up and if your asked for anything oh god help you. Should also be more condiments on table for larger parties.

Love the place, staff are always friendly, food is lovely, good selection of food and drinks. I fancy booking a booth for a few cheeky cocktails possibly for my 40th 🍹🍸🍾. Keep up the great work everyone 😊

Got there at 10.00 and managed to get a table, filled up quickly after that. Had tea and a cheese scone, which was lovely. Good choice on breakfast and lunch menu, also a specials board. Nice atmosphere, lovely staff. Worth a visit.

First time visited for something to eat at lunch time. was fairly busy but thats not a bad thing. plenty of choice on the menu. food was fresh and tasty good size portions. excellent service friendly staff.

Me and my husband love popping in here for food, and the cocktails. The staff our lovely and friendly and always happy to help. Beautiful decorated place very chic.
