Fountain Cottage Cafe & Tearoom in Northumberland

Visited at lunchtime after the waterfall walk. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Food was great, highly recommend the pulled pork wrap plus a bottle of local ale.

Great place to visit, lovely friendly staff and the place was spotless, only went in for refreshments and went back next day for the breakfast and was not disappointed, oh and the vegan jaffa cake was delicious even for a non vegan.

Food is always great, service is top notch and the cafe atmosphere in general is always welcoming.

Modern clean room with a nice bathroom. Only down side was noise from adjoining rooms. Good breakfast and other well cooked meals available.Good service with friendly staff. Recommended.

Incredible - friendly, clean, catering for all, bike friendly!Gluten Free and Vegan options available on the menu, with bottled beers and ciders.We arrived for dinner on the Thursday of the Jubilee weekend, after a long day cycling the Reivers Route. The weather forecast for the night looked awful and sleeping in a bivy bag in the rain wasn't looking that appealing, so we asked Janice if they had any spare rooms - amazingly they had 1 left! And it included a spa bath!Janice showed us the bike lock up room (has cctv and is locked at night) and took us to our room, it was very welcoming and clean - spa bath was an added bonus!Great nights sleep and then had the "Full Monty" vegan and gluten free. Staff were very welcoming and happy to look after us.Many thanks Janice and the team - we can't wait to visit Bellingham again!

Excellent venue all round. Friendly and welcoming staff, a good sized and very comfy room with a nice view out to the village, and outstanding food - the fish and chips is a must. All reasonably priced, and added bonus for myself was secure storage for my bicycle overnight. Will definitely recommend and return when I am next in the area.

Highly recommended this fabulous Cafe. Staff are friendly & attentive. Actually respond to requests for how you would like your food cooked. Well done etc. The place is immaculately clean & the food is delicious.

Amazing hospitality. Amazing place all around. Would recommend wholeheartedly.We stayed over a few nights. A storm hit the area, there was an extended power cut, but Danielle (the manager) made sure that we were comfortable. They prepared a packed lunch for us free of charge, they turned on the log-burner stove and allowed to use the common room as we please. They let us know the address of the manager in town in case we needed to reach out to them for anything. Despite the power cut, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a very cozy, old-style stay.On top of that, the dinners are really high quality. Kudos to the chef in the kitchen. We were impressed by the meat pie and the chicken burger.

Fantastic food at fantastic prices. Plus the cake and coffee is amazing too! The team are all lovely and can't do enough to help. Attended some great planned events here including psychic medium night and Halloween party. Great fun for everyone! Well planned and it's easy to see that a lot of thought goes into it. Our favourite place to visit.
