I've lived near this pub for years but have never been. Let's just say I've missed out. Top notch food with a smile.

Just called in for a pint instead of just passing, looks like a popular place to eat. Stopped off on a Wednesday evening about 6ish, restaurant end maybe just over half full, on leaving it was full so if you fancy trying a meal there I would recommend booking if you're going at popular times. Beer garden to the side, good bar area and ample parking at the front.

Placed drinks order before getting the menu and then being told that they had ran out of everything we wanted to order . No scallops , no scotch egg , no scampi , no chicken supreme and even no homemade chips. Waited over an hour for food to be served and it was not worth the wait. The loaded nachos had no taste apart from salt , no sour cream , the salsa, guacamole and cheese was just dumped on top so the nachos where just plain and dry under the top layer . The chef had forgot to serve the onion rings with the burger we ordered. Not once were we asked if everything was ok we had to get the attention of the staff as they were stood talking at the end of the bar . We sat for 15 mins waiting for staff to clear the table that in the end we walked to the bar to pay on the way out and still no one asked how everything was. This place is overpriced. The service of the staff was poor and the food was inadequate

Good food and good friendly service, even accommodated my picky-eater kid with a meal that wasn't on the menu (she had bits of different meals that were on it). Will go again.

upon arrival we had to get our own menus as we were being ignored by staff once we were seated. then we waited over an hour for our food which was sub-par at best. we won’t be returning

Lovely gem! Stayed overnight for a work trip. Room is clean and modern. The pub is lovely and well decorated, staff are friendly. The pub and accommodation is doggo friendly too! Food was great, very well priced and large portion sizes.

Large, warm and comfortable en suite rooms, detached from pub, with very good breakfasts. Also have an excellent evening menu should you wish to use it.Would use again.

The room was okay for one night, mattress and pillows were poor quality and uncomfortable. As for the pub ,we were advised to book a table for our evening meal , so we did so for 8.0 pm.After ordering food it took 55 minutes to be served to us , then it was very medioca.I wouldn't return here , quite disappointed.

Popped in for early dinner with my wife and dog. The bar area is dog friendly! We shared two meals, chicken enchiladas with fries and tacos loaded with salsa, cheese and guacamole.Good size portions and so tasty. The staff were attentive and friendly so we will be back.

Great little pub. Visited lots of times. Staff are pleasant and service is prompt. Food is 10/10. One of the best pints around all is fab quality. Best to book a table at weekends as it gets really busy.
