Excellent fish, chips and mushy peas, best in Hexham. Good cheerful service as well.

Clean, bright nice place. Friendly, efficient staff. Good quality food. Reasonable prices. What's not to like?! Looking forward to going on one of the gluten free days now!

Very clean. Haddock & chips excellent as was home made tartare sauce. Given a sample dessert which was very tasty.

We happened upon this magnificent chippy on our way into Hexham yesterday on a half term day out. Free parking to the rear was much appreciated and we hungrily made our way inside. We were warmly welcomed by our server who seated us whilst we chose from the varied menu. Cod chips and mushy peas, small cod chips and mushy peas, large scampi and chips and salt and pepper squid, chips mushy peas and curry sauce were ordered and we waited in anticipation whilst we enjoyed our drinks. The food arrived promptly and looked and smelled amazing and oh my goodness, it tasted of fishy heaven. The chips were 'proper chips' crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, the fish was crisp, golden and juicy and the mushy peas, oh the mushy peas...true perfection, best I have ever tasted, sweet, not stodgy, just mushy magnificence. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, I also tasted the squid and curry sauce and all were excellent! Thank you to all the staff for making our visit such a highlight of the day, we will be back!

come here every monday with my mam in the restaurant and order the pensioners special,small cod and chips with bread and butter, tea or coffee and mushy peas for £9!! absolutely amazing food for amazing prices! we absolutely love it here and will continue coming here. so nice !

Have eaten here a good few times and the food is awesome. The haddock is always amazing with lovely light batter and so fresh it falls apart. Nice crisp chips too. The place is always ultra clean which is really reassuring.

First and foremost they have very friendly and cheerful staff and was nice place to eat in. Was worried there wouldn't be much choice for vegetarian but was pleasantly surprised with the range. We were given generous portions of delicious food and was good value. Would happily recommend to all.

Have not been in a while but popped in with a client for lunch just as they opened.The decor is light and airy, easy to access.We were promptly greeted with a smile and a menu.My client was directed to the pensioner special which was reasonably priced at £9 to include homemade mushy peas, tea, homemade tartare sauce and a hot drink.It arrived promptly, the batter light and crispy.The service was attentive and not overbearing.It became busy quickly but they maintained control and quality.The menu is tight and controlled allowing quality to shine through.

Great fish shop. Lovely food. Crispy batter. Great range of vegetarian items too. Homemade tartare sauce is gorgeous! Can’t wait to use the restaurant when it opens next week! Friendly staff providing a lovely service.
