Thoroughly excellent. Delicious fresh food: local crab, smoked cod roe, grilled halibut and griddled ribeye, all cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

Sorry, but I was disappointed with the food. I had Haddock, chips and mushy peas. Fish was ok but the chips were tasteless, just warm and obviously frozen, although they said they weren't. Expensive for what I had. My partner, to be fair, enjoyed his calves liver. I picked wrong meal. Put off returning again

We had a meal here in the evening for a small celebration. The staff were attentive and ensured we had exactly what we needed. The meal was very good and the balance of seasoning was superb in both our dishes. One, fish, thorn back ray and mine round rump steak burger with cheddar and dill.Rounded off with an Argentinian MalbecA very pleasant atmosphere on a damp evening

We visited for the 2nd time and we had a wonderful night. The food was delicious and service aswell as atmosphere were just perfect. A true gem in Newcastle. Can't wait to visit again

My partner and I stumbled upon this place, and it was easily one of the the best restaurants we've ever been to! For the price especially, this Michelin star restaurant does not disappoint. The ambiance was fantastic, and the beer menu extensive!

Was great a little pricey but what a lovely pub and I can only say the lively barperson that served us was brilliant

The Broad Chare is a great place for an evening meal. We arrived without a booking and the staff were able to make a table available.The menu fits most tastes and the ambiance in the upstairs dining room is friendly and warm.The food was delicious.We would certainly go back there when we are in Newcastle again.

Great food, cosey atmosphere. We went for a Sunday roast, it was just like Nana used to make.

Had a brilliant dinner here. It was easy to book a table and we were very well looked after.Braised oxtail and scotch egg were spot on with so much flavour. The Meat on the oxtail was so tender and rich, the sauce was full of flavour, beautiful smoked bacon bits and delicious creamy mash. My friend really enjoyed her halibut and her sauvignon blancThere was a nice vibe here with people dressing up a bit and enjoying the atmosphere. Service was excellent at the bar and in the restaurant.Can really recommend for a special meal
