Jan's Kitchen in Northumberland

Thoroughly enjoyed pausing in Ponteland for a cuppa and a slice of cake. Jan's Kitchen is a popular spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is available onsite. The staff members I spoke with were friendly and helpful. The lemon cake was tremendous.

What a great place! Popped in for lunch and sat outside in the sun. Everything was delicious and fresh, will definitely return.

Fantastic breakfast rolls and home baking.5 mins from Newcastle airport, stopped off on way back home.Highly recommended!

Great little cafe on the way into Ponteland (from Newcastle). The cakes are really nice and fresh and the meals are nicely presented. Not much parking so be prepared to walk there at busy times.

Called when passing through from Scotland back to England. Found it to be a very clean cafe with excellent, friendly and efficient staff and a nice menu and choice of qaulity food. Car park and toilets on site.

Lovely choice of sweet treats here. We had the butterscotch cake which was amazing - perfect amount of sweetness and not dry at all. Fresh donut and shortbread also really good. Nice friendly service, would definitely recommend!

Our 1st visit to Jan's Kitchen for a spot of lunch was 100% perfect. As far as Cafe food goes you can't do much better! We were greeted by warm smiles, friendly service and a very clean environment! We didn't have to wait long for a 'good quality' pot of tea followed shortly after by a delicious Lemon Crayfish Jacket Potato, super-fresh salad, authentic tasting mayonnaise and crunchy coleslaw!To be honest it's a combination of food we wouldn't ordinarily choose but tasted fantastic!! The Cafe was nice and busy so didn't lack atmosphere.... I guess the only picky criticism could be that a bit of background music would be a nice touch. To be really picky our table was a touch wobbly, but hey, for value for money and quality of food this place is well worth a 5 star review. Well done, and we WILL definitely be returning :-)
