Ladhars Fish Bar in Northumberland

Fish n chips twice from here in last few days. Batter perfect, cod fresh, flaky and beautifully freshly cooked, mushy peas mushy and good, not like slop, and if the chips were a bit dried from sitting in the warmer waiting for me, they were still OK. Very pleased, thoroughly enjoyed.

Just had the worst fish and chip experience. £7 for a small dry piece of Cod poorly battered and cardboard chips. £2.60 for a few chips in a small box covered by a small £7 piece of alleged Cod. I was so annoyed I called the owner to complain. He said you won't find decent fish anywhere due to supply and he would prefer not to sell it! 'But my customers want it' Its a fish and chip shop!!!Rip off and won't be going back.

Good value for money. Friendly staff really enjoyed the food.

Called in Tuesday lunchtime approx 10mins before closing. Staff more than happy to put food in as long as i didn't mind waiting. Well worth the wait, fish and chips were excellent (fish being some of the best I've tasted in years) Would recommend a visit. Thanks.

Ordered a delivery while on holiday. Wasn't cheap, but was bang on. Fish was huge, with a light batter. Mixed Kebab was fill of meat and salad was fresh and tasty. Would recommend for a holiday treat.

Enjoyed my fish and chips very much. Curry was a bit on the watery side and lacked flavor which made me emit one star.

Heard about this take away, was in area so went and got fish bites n chips! 3large pieces of cod in batter, really tasty, nice batter, not soggy, and the chips are really nice to! Quick, efficient service, nice staff, shop tidy and clean. Worth a visit!

Lovely fresh fish and chips and a great spot to sit by the sea! Not too expensive either
