My room was fantastic bed was really comfortable Staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious had a really good time definitely recommend itsva fantastic place to stay

We had a hotel booked prior to this, it got cancelled as we were due to leave the house. A quick search found this. And it turned out to be the best thing. Beautiful views and rooms. We stayed in the stable suites, number 24 as and couldn't recommend it enough. Huge room, in room bath, balcony/patio with a very private hot tub. Staff were a credit to the hotel and the food perfect. We ate in the restaurant and had breakfast too. We would definitely be back. Perfectly located for walks, Scotland or bamburgh seahouses etc!

Just spent a couple of days at the hotel and it's been amazing. Great location for the coastal path for those who like walking, fabulous room, superb food in the restaurant in the evening - really good to have a choice of vegetarian dishes that were interesting and delicious. Already planning the next trip!

The staff make this a special place to visit . We felt more like friends than customers . Everyone was friendly and hard working The location is perfect and the food was amazing . Loved it and we will definitely be back .

A genuinely excellent hotel. Remarkably quiet given its proximity to the A1, slept like a log in the huge sumptuous bed after enjoying the wonderful walk in shower. Breakfast (full english) was delicious and service was excellent throughout. We will be back here often as we pass between England and Scotland frequently.

Beautiful building, no lifts so check if mobility is an issue. Decor is crisp modern colours blended in with the old building. Rooms immaculate and each one is individually styled. Bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen with glorious showers that you can turn on before getting into! Saves that frantic learning how the shower works under a cold or boiling stream. Restaurant and bar very good indeed with a lovely view. Staff were absolutely charming.

Went for an evening of fine dining to celebrate for an early 50th birthday party and the food was absolutely amazing. The grounds are awesome and so was the staff. We didn't stay the night but if the rooms are at the same standard as the rest of the renovations then they will be tip top i'm sure. Can't wait for the next excuse to go back to be honest.

Just back from a long weekend here with friends to celebrate a birthday. Ignore the photos on Google, the entire place has been renovated and is understated, luxurious and relaxed. The staff are wonderful, as is the food and bar. The room was delightful too, very comfortable. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The renovations under the new ownership are timeless and luxurious. The attention to detail and rich colour scheme through out has made the most of a great setting.Outstanding service from very polite and knowledgeable staff, beautifully clean throughout. There is a brilliant bar and restaurant menu with lots of choice and delicious.Great atmosphere throughout with a beautiful outside terrace to compliment a modern and cosy bar with an extensive drinks menus inclusive of a few cocktails.I would highly recommend.

Everything about our stay was incredible! The rooms are beautiful, the bed was comfortable, the views are amazing. The whole hotel refurb has been done to such a high standard and everything was modern and spotlessly clean.The food at dinner looked and tasted fantastic. Most of all though, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, taking a genuine interest and doing anything they could to make sure you had a good time. We'll definitely be back!
