"Cosy traditional pub serving well kept real ales and keg beers. Varied choice of spirits and gins and good selection of wines. Serves good food using locally sourced products. Caters for a variety of dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. Sorry but we don’t allow dogs inside the pub as it is too small. We have a beer garden though Booking advisable. We are still doing a takeaway service during the above hours please ring with your order. Sunday Roasts are very popular as takeaways also"

This Country pub is within walking distance for those walking Hadrian's Wall or using the AD122 Hadrian's Wall bus. I suspect most visitor's are mobile judging by the carpark on day visited. Two local cask ales on which both my son & I really enjoyed after our walk small well stocked bar but food seemed to be the big seller with most tables both inside & out full with diners.On this occasion food not tried but hopefully will be back

Only stopped for a quick drink. Staff were great. Good selection of beers. Only downside dogs not allowed inside but can't fault it otherwise.

Stopped off for lunch. Cosy Inn, lovely staff. Extensive menu & what we had was delicious. Hope to return if in the area.

Came across this pub on a walk around the area and stopped for a drink, we came back for food later on in the evening. A welcoming place with a lovely oven fire, very clean and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend stopping here.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food and drink is a good quality and reasonably priced. The pub is in a good location not far from Hadrians Wall.

Stopped here after a walk from Haltwhistle station to the Milecastle at Hadrian’s wall. This is a must visit country pub as the food was superb homemade and the drink selection was great. Inside is very quaint and cosy with amazing views out of the windows. Toilets are modern and clean.

We have had 3 fabulous evening meals here. The views are wonderful. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. The food is lovely the pies are sumptuous and the veg is fresh (not frozen), the pie gravy is out of this world and the chef's should be so proud of themselves

Fantastic place to eat. And they have the best sticky toffee pudding ever! We have been all over England, Wales and Scotland and this was by far the very best. We could not find anywhere this desert even close to the one we had here. One of the best places to eat!
