Otterburn Castle in Northumberland

We stayed here for two nights with our little doggy. The place was beautiful and full of character. The drive towards the castle entrance has the wow factor and let’s you see the architecture of the building.At reception there is a little log fire that smells amazing and adds to that homely feel the castle has. The staff are exceptional and have 5* customer service, nothing is too much and they have a lot of knowledge. Each room has a unique view and layout, we had a lovely front facing room.We both slept well as the beds are very comfy. The breakfast was good quality, in particular we really enjoyed the bacon. Plenty of selection for hot and cold foods, and good selection of Jams and Juices. We even finished our coffee outside on the benches.The evening menu is good portions and very tasty food, the menu has changed slightly from was is online on the PDF so wait until you get to the restaurant. We both had the duck which was cooked perfectly.Plan on returning in the future and bringing family with us. Stunning venue, exceptional staff.Very dog friendly, best stay we have had for a long time.

Lovely building, nice room and great breakfast but by far the outstanding feature is the staff!! Fantastic service, nothing was a bother and we were made to feel so welcome. Well done all.

I stayed at the hotel while I was attending a wedding. It is a family run business, with a wonderful personal touch. I felt well taken care of in turn feeling very relaxed, I just wished I had stayed longer! Lovely property, the service was impeccable.

This is the ultimate of a quality hotel which remains relaxed, and where nothing is too much trouble! HIGHLY recommended!!

Great place, with great food and a very friendly welcome. Otterburn is tiny but there is a great bar across the road. Food also looked good, but we only had an afternoon bowl of chips with beers.

Fantastic stay! Ellie and Alex really looked after us and the castle is beautiful. We stayed in the library room, which lived up to all expectations. Exceptional quality food (my veggie option included). AA must stay! tay.

Absolutely lovely hotel, steeped in history, in beautiful surroundings.The staff were very attentive and welcoming. Rooms clean, comfortable and tidy.Nothing was to much trouble. Great food and drink, reasonably priced.Recommended. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very comfortable.

Had a sister reunion at the castle & couldn't of picked a better place. It was so nice & relaxing. The owners & staff were the best. We all enjoyed the food, it was delicious. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would love to go back in the near future & would recommend to all my friends.
