Otterburn Mill in Northumberland

Brilliant to see all the old weaving machinery around the shop and cafe, even the old spinning wheels were lovely to see. The cafe offers a good selection of hot and cold food, at reasonable prices. I had a toasted Stilton and bacon sandwich, it was delicious with just enough of a side salad. Definitely worth a visit, staff friendly and helpful.

Stopped for a coffee and a small bite to eat. A lovely authentic Mill and rustic place to drink a coffee. Not a real espresso-machine, (hence the 4 stars, although the automatic coffeemaker grinded beans freshly), but still a very nice place to have a pause with a bite and a coffee. We had the panini with bacon and brie and it was fine.As said it is a very nice place to have a stop. We were very welcome and people are very nice!

Pricey for what it is. Was busy when there. Also good shop next door. Worth a stop.

The best sausage roll and chips ive ever had, the best portion sizes and very good run for your money.

I visited the Otterburn Mill as part of a recent day out in mid Northumberland. It is about 45 mins drive and easily accessible from Newcastle. It includes a shop selling clothing and accessories and a cafe providing a wide range of hot or cold meals. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend for a visit.

If you were driving round and about the area, it's definitely worth dropping in here.There is a large shop of outside clothing brands but not as cheap as perhaps you would expect for an outlet shop.The Café is just okay. A bit tired in decor and food is okay, I would describe it as like a school dinner, but I certainly wouldn't recommend going there for a special occasion or a drive out.

Brilliant place, very friendly staff. Tried the cafe this time and wasn't disappointed. Bit more expensive than some cafe's but worth every penny. Husband said it was the best ham and cheese sandwich he had ever had, "proper ham"! Staff were lovely too.

Found shopping here an enjoyable experience. Easy Parking. Good sized shop with large choice of family clothing and wellies! Some really good bargains and Dad Mum and Kids and Grandchildren all got something. Café has lovely home made meals, or just a few chips and coffee or juice if that is all you require and good toilets. Can take a picnic and eat outside as there are benches and tables on the grass for open air eating if you have a dog etc. Nice Area.

went there today nice shop and cafe the shop is part museum showing the old workings of the mill which is very interesting we had fish n chips in the cafe which was ok I suppose bit pricey for what it was we also had a walk around the village trail which is sign posted

This is a good place to visit if you’re in the area and you love outdoor/ walking gear at outlet prices.The cafe attached to the shop has interesting historical articles in the foyer that are related to the mill. Tenter rails are around the back which are well worth a view (where the term ‘on tenterhooks ‘ originates from).
