Pizzaiolo in Northumberland

Was staying at haggerston castle and we were a group of 8 people wanting something better than the overpriced generic pizza that was offered on site . After a bit of looking I had seen the reviews on this place and some pictures of freshly made pizzas we all decided to go ahead and order . We ordered on a Wednesday which was buy 1 pizza get another half price absolutely perfect for us hungry lot . In total we ordered 8 pizzas , 2 lots of dough balls , 2 portions of cheesy chips a normal portion of chips and a oreo milkshake. I placed the order at opening time and 20 minutes later it was ready to go and on the journey back I could see the pizzas were steaming hot . I opened my pizza box I ordered the prosciutto cotto I was taken aback at how well presented and how fresh it was cooked to perfection with each bite giving a different flavour profile . I then proceeded to open the chips which were just generic fries but were well seasoned and with plenty cheese on top although I would say that these chips would definitely serve 2 people . All in all we were very satisfied and when visiting this area again will definitely be a returning customer

Great Pizza made in the oven in front of me in about 10 minutes flat. Life saver after a long day at work. Didn't last the half hour drive home in the truck! Five stars 👍

Tried pizza from here few years ago and was nice , tried other day again and was lovely reasonably priced pizza oven cooked pizzas very nice staff , our pizzas were lovely pepperoni and fresh chillies on and some fries which were also nice . . Picked up for opening time just as they were coming out of the oven . . . Will order again . . .

Brilliant pizza and great service. We got the family deal which was 2 large pizzas, 2 sides and 2 dips. The sides were a decent size and fed us all. The pizzas are fresh wood fired and really nice. Would strongly recommend, especially if you are on the Haven site and drive to pick them up.

Busy Saturday night delivery but well worth it!! Amazing pizza that didn’t feel like a cheat meal at all. Chips were fantastic, dips were amazing and salad was fresh!! Absolutely AMAZING food! Can’t fault it. 100% the place to go!😍

Very good pizza at reasonable price, I’m told the chips were good too, garlic dip also nice for the crust.The only thing I would say is they could do with investing in an online ordering system - you have to call and seems like luck whether you get through.Also we are big milkshake fans but found these to have a bit of an odd taste.

One of the best takeaway pizzas I've ever had. Cooked in a traditional stone based oven with fresh tasting ingredients. Highly recommended the "Meathead". Prices are also really good for the quality tasting food you get.

Food was delicious, however the food was a little undercooked and waiting times were extended beyond those originally quoted. The staff were exceptionally busy and trying their best to meet demand. I can imagine if it wasn't as busy it would have undoubtedly been 5 stars.

Very friendly staff, delicious dough balls and milkshakes. Pizza was nice, I enjoyed it (my partner not as much), and I'll eat here again if I'm the area. Some meathead blocked me in for about 5 minutes with his blacked out range rover out the front, but that wasn't the fault of Pizzaiolo!!If staying at Pot-a-Doodle-Do, it's very convenient!
