Huge American style restaurant. 1st visit and we were very impressed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our meals were scrumptious and huge. My wife brought most of hers home in a doggy bag which we shared the nexy day. We'll recommended

A party of four of us went for dinner. Really nice staff, a huge menu. I had the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, with fries . That was excellent. My dessert was heavenly . I had the toffee apple pie which came with cream and ice-cream. I'm normally not a dessert person, but that pie was just so good.

We arrived at 12pm and we were suitably impressed by the quirky look of the place. Its like an American diner. Asked for coffee; coffee machine wasn't on. Great.Ordered 2 Fantas. One sip was eye watering... this was not Fanta. Queried it with the waitress who confirmed that it was not.Drum roll...it was cordial and soda water. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Fanta is Fanta and the staff should tell customers that its orange & soda. Like if i want Asda Smart Price ketchup, I'll buy that instead of Heniz.Asked the waitress what other drinks were available. Diet coke, coke zero, and "homemade drinks". That must be the homemade Fanta 🙄. Anyhoo...we reluctantly settled on diet coke (I'm a full fat coke kinda gal).Another waitress arrived & we ordered food. 5 minutes later she reappeared and said there was no chilli for the chilli dog.Still waiting on the diet cokes, we asked if we could just cancel the order; "Yep" said she and toddled off without a second glance 😂.Of note, there were 2 guys there who actually did appear to care that we were leaving and apologised. My partner offered to pay for the drinks but, before I drop kicked him, they said it was OK and quite rightly waived it.So...off we went and stumbled across La Torre in Bedlington. Every cloud.3 stars just for the decor and the 2 chaps. It could well be a great place to eat but I'll never know now.

Three of us went for a meal, starter and main, I will just talk of my meal, my full fat coke ended up tasting of sweetener, all I could taste, they swapped it for a lemon juice, but i could still taste the sweetener. Starter was the nachos, which were fairly hot even without the extra jalapeños on, these came fairly quickly, about a ten minute wait, but unfortunately the main meals took about just short of an hour, at the point of asking had they forgotten us we were told the meals were on the way, I forgot to get a pic of the burger meal, I went for the butcher's, it was gorgeous and juicy so big I had to turn half of it over to do two half's with swapping the chips for the sweet potato fries, could not fault it, the place was ticking over, so yes we will go again and hope their timings were not the norm otherwise the drink and timing knocked a star off the rating

Passed Porky's a few times and always fancied calling in, i finally managed it today with my 13 year old grandson.First impressions were good, great outdoor seating area (except for the view which is of car park), nice mid western decor and country music in main restaurant which had comfortable seating.Week day special is Main / Chips and Drink for £9. You can upgrade any of these and the prices for the upgrades are clearly displayed. We both went for meal upgrades I went for the Brisket and Half Rib Rack and my grandson did the Flat Iron Steak with blue cheese / bacon sauce. We also upgraded the drinks to a pint of corona and a large coke and the final bill was £29, really good value.Service was good and the drinks and meals came out quickly.A negative points, I expected to find a greater range of steaks on the menu, the table needed a good clean it was extremely sticky and extra serviettes would have been handy especially with ribs,The acid test is would we return, definately my grandson said it was now his favourite restaurant.

Had a very enjoyable meal at Porky's, I opted for a pulled pork and brisket combo and it was fantastic. I preferred the pork, but both were lovely and very tasty. The photo doesn't do it justice but trust me there was a lot of meat on that plate! The only disappointment was that the "Texas Toast" was merely a crispy tortilla wrap - not what I know as Texas Toast! After polishing off the meat, fortunately my dessert stomach was empty so managed to squeeze in a toffee and apple pie which was nice. Service was excellent and meals were served quickly.
