It is no Grand Piano. The atmosphere and friendliness of the staff was good. Clean and tidy from what we could see.The food was average though. The 3 dishes out of 5 we had were deep fried which was not what we expected. Deep fried Chicken Kiev? The chilli oil was old and tasted out of date. The "homemade" cheesecake had a stale base and the cheese topping was flavourless. Only had one bite and did complainabout it. It was not taken off the bill.Processed food and not cooked by a professional chef. Too pricy for what it is.

Bruschetta starter was good but main meals weren't the best. Canneloni was fatty and the Kiev was swimming in butter. Staff friendly and service was good.

Pleasant location in the heart of Morpeth Northumberland. Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices for food and drink, smart interior decor with capacity for maybe 100 customers, parking close by, NB. The restaurant is located first floor with stairs only access (1 mid landing) - but an enjoyable first visit. PS, they do lunchtime deals too.

Took a trip to morpeth and came across this restaurant highly rate by Google maps and it was amazing. The service was fantastic, lovely selection of food and specials. It is upstairs so can be a problem for some but definitely worth a visit. We got the special starter scallops with black pudding, bacon and pea puree with a salad on the side😍 was amazing. We also tried the pate to start with great size portion s as you can see from our photos. We then got the arriabata and cajun beef strips pasta with a pizza garlic bread. Everything we tried was amazing and all the staff are lovely, would definately go back and recommend a visit if you are near by, we didn't even have to book which was great.

On a blustery summers day in in Morpeth me and my partner stumbled across this little hidden gem.Starved by a long walk around the river bank we craved a hearty Sunday lunch. Our attention grabbed by the board “3 course Sunday lunch for £8.95”, we climbed the stairs to reveal and elegant but cosy restaurant setting, greeted almost immediately by a staff member with a smile, further welcome by other staff as we were shown our seat.Expecting to be limited by the low price we were shown the special menu, to our surprise it offers multiple choices within the deal. It all sounds to good to be true but it’s not, it’s a real find. The food was prompt, pipping hot and in abundance, an indulgence but so worth it.Trust me, won’t get a better choice in this area.
