Riverside Lodge in Northumberland

Wasn't great, the welcome wasn't very friendly, the dinner wasn't very good burnt Yorkshire's, 1 slice of meat and overdone vegetables.

I'm having my wedding reception there and went with the family to try the food , very upset that I can't cook anything that nice and I thought I could do a Sunday roast . Add to that the friendly staff lovely feel to the pub and nice views of the river what's not to like .

Riverside Lodge, after many attempts of contacting you and you refusing to contact me back I decided I will share my experience with you on here.After being employed by you as a chef a few weeks back, I spent 16 hours cleaning up your scummy kitchen. On a sunday service, I was forced to serve rotten meat that was left on the bench overnight till the next service at 12pm, about 11 hours. I was given the ultimatum of serve the meat or forfeit my job, so I was left with no choice. Following instruction, I served said meat, which coincidently was sent out the owner's sister. After this happened I was laid off, being accused of sabotaging the business, getting told I need to reimburse their lost revenue and was given no pay, I have rent and other bills to pay and was working full time hours on no pay. You have rejected all forms of contact with me, making any attempt to not have to pay me, so now everyone can see the scummy business you run. You set me up and I am not the first person you have done this to.

Absolutely disgusting food hygiene. Friend took photos of their kitchen when he worked there. Would advise to avoid this place for food!

Service was friendly and polite prepaired to go the extra mile to make you feel welcome the food was out of this world so much flavour brilliant options available will be informing friends and family about it and will be going back again soon

Lovely quiet place for families. Just nipped in for a warm up and the hospitality is great. Friendly and welcoming

Brilliant place to eat since being taken over. Food was amazing, hats off to the new chef.

Terrible experience. Drinks served to you in dirty marked glasses, toilets had no hot water and were also damp and the food arrived to our table cold. The manager did not seem interested when I voiced these concerns to him and just apologised vaguely but did not rectify. The two young ladies who catered for our table throughout our visit were very pleasant and attentive however the experience of management and the general facility were not very appealing to me.

A fantastic Chinese restaurant with great food and brilliant staff, I've been here three or four times and never had any bother.
