Alongside the cafe there is a gallery featuring Richard Dunwoody's photography and many other local craftspeople's work. Antiques shop open for browsing. Ample parking, outdoor seating, and very dog friendly - the garden features a dog agility course, with fresh water being available at various points within the cafe."

Really enjoyed going here. Found it by a chance Google search for breakfast and I am so glad. The owner Andrew was lovely, super welcoming and chatty and showed us all round his surprisingly big cafe. The food was high quality and all made from local produce. I enjoyed the breakfast, pot of tea and some cake. Two lovely collie dogs are there which adds to the atmosphere. If you don’t like dogs this is something to be aware of.I look forward to getting to go again

Andrews little gem is a wonderful place to stop for a chat, advice on dog behaviour or the most delicious food. The place is extremely dog friendly, didn't want to come away. Highly recommend and will visit again next time in Northumberland

Called for a cup of tea and cake ended up having delightful scrambled egg on a lightly toasted stottie. Friendly owner and the only drawback, if it is one, is you may find a dog or two under your table. It is dog friendly so bear that in mind if you are not a doggie person!

Very friendly owners and their dogs! Had a bacon stottie which was delicious, and a millionaires shortbread, because I couldn't resist! Reasonable prices, a lovely atmosphere and great food. Would divinely recommended a visit.

This place is a hidden gem in Alnwick , the service is second too none ,Andrew and his team make you feel welcome immediately you are out the car , we had a couple of nights break at the cottage ,just amazing ,the most friendly and nicest people you will ever meet , the accommodation is peaceful and everything you will ever need if you need a break from the hustle and bustle ,fantastic and quiet ,the breakfast in the cafe is just amazing and not to mention the coffee , all local products,if you need a nice couple of days away this is the place to go to , nothing too much hassle for them ,organised dinner at local restaurants for us , who else delivers this kind of hospitality. We will be back and soon ,super dog friendly ,Reuben the lab also enjoyed his stay with nearby walkways in woodlands . View from bedroom we were in and we also had choice of room to suit our requirements . Thank you for a fantastic stay ,see you all soon . Andrew and Aileen and Reuben .

The service was excellent and all staff friendly and attentive , more than me as my Belington managed to find his way to the kitchen while I was engrossed looking at the menu . Good humoured staff . Stop off its so lovely and unhurried pace to having lunch .. thankyou
