Royal Garden in Northumberland

Very busy Saturday night. We had booked a table thankfully. Took drinks order quite quickly followed by food order. Didn't wait too long for starters. Nice interval before main course arrived. Food was good , quite, good sized portions. Would return if in the area again. Very reasonably priced.

Our takeaway was excellent and ready just before the time stated. First time we'd been and probably go back and eat in next time.

Started out well - food smelled great from outside and staff happy to accept us without a reservation. However unfortunately service was very slow and food was average - it would have been fine, but not worth the long wait we had, especially as staff seemed to avoid us! The insipid 80s music made the experience drag on. Not awful in a pinch but I don’t think I’d come back.

I've been visiting Berwick-upon-Tweed for some years now and honestly is never noticed this place until today! We went in, up a small flight of stairs and were greeted by a friendly server who seated us immediately.The food was good, the rice, curry sauce, chips were all served fresh and tastes delicious. The kids meals were fresh too.Not a cheap place to eat but definitely worth the visit.Nice little "hidden" gem this.

Food excellent very good portions Very extensive menu extremely good value for money

This was the first time we had visited the Royal Garden Chinese Restaurant. A neighbour recommended it to us and we were not disappointed. Excellent menu with plenty of choice and good sized portions. Very friendly waitress who was very attentive an efficient. Relaxed atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. Toilets clean with everything in place. Will definitely be back and will recommend to other people visiting Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Not impressed. The starter felt like it had been recooked 3 times over! The only saving grace was the lovely young waitress who looked after us after the meal. If you like good Chinese look elsewhere.

The food was excellent and the choices plentiful. If all the food on the menu is as good as what I had then this is highly recommended. I have had a look around and the presentation of the food in general was outstanding.

A really good Chinese Restaurant, with a very extensive menu, dishes are top quality. Staff are polite and attentive. Good covid rules followed. If I lived in Berwick-upon-Tweed I would be a regular. Best place I have dined at during my stay.
