We visited here because Wetherspoons pizza kiln was broken. We were so glad as the pizza was outstanding!!!!!Now we always come here for our pizza. The staff are very friendly and the service is great. Saturday night is extremely popular so I recommend you book so that you're not disappointed.

Best Sambucas in the North East. Food is delicious and ridiculously reasonably priced. Staff are always happy, friendly & go above & beyond to ensure you are happy

Firstly, food was great, delicious, absolutely no complaints there. However, the place is dimly lit but big and feels more like a warehouse painted black. Music is constantly playing far too loud so couldn't hear people on the other side of the table to have a conversation. I wanted a meal with family not a nightclub experience.Staff were pleasant enough and did their job without fault but had zero personality, unlike every other Sambucas I've ever been to, no pleasantries, just there to get you in, serve food, then get you out. Not one of them seemed even remotely happy to be there and couldn't even fake a smile.Overall I felt a bit rushed and undervalued as a customer spending quite a lot of money in a very short space of time.I won't go back there.

Have been here a few times and always had a positive experience, however on Saturday evening we had a very unpleasant time, music was absolutely blaring at 5pm, so much so that i couldn’t hear the person sitting next to me speaking. We were served the wrong drinks and when my friend addressed this with the waiter he pulled a face and stormed away, after waiting over 20 minutes after receiving our drinks to be asked if we would like to order food we decided to just leave and eat elsewhere. I went to the bar to pay for the drinks, while i was there our waiter arrived at the bar and started talking about us to the other bar staff. The ‘coke’ and ‘diet coke’ are £2.50 a glass and are clearly from Lidl, absolutely vile.

Unfortunately, this was my second bad experience at the glass house. And this time we didn't even get to eat.Very ignorant serving staff. I appreciate that it was busy, but it wouldn't be too far to go to inform the person stood at the bar for 20mins, with his bank card in his hand, that he needed to go to the top bar.Once at the right bar waiting to order a drink while waiting to be seated, the waiter stood right beside me, or the one stood behind me, could have politely informed us that we were in the wrong area, again, for service.Unless you're sat at a table, the staff just completely ignore you.I won't even go into my experience with the food, and one server spraying cleaning spray on my girls' food during one of my previous visits. After a few bad experiences, and some below-par food, I will not be returning to this particular sambuca.

Service was outstanding, food was brought out quickly and is definitely the best Italian food I've tasted in a long time. Definitely be back, couldn't ask for a better experience as it was worth every penny and more.

Always go there. Never had any issues, get on with most of the staff there. Was told I needed ID which is fair enough then a friend that worked there told the other members off staff how she knew me and that I was of legal age to drink, me then thinking they were aware had a drink. Another member of staff snatched the drink from Infront of me and was really rude about the situation. I then paid for the drink my 19 year old boyfriend had and our two starters - I wasn't going to pay for the drink I didn't get and I hadn't Eaton my starter, so one drink and one starter was what we had, however I did leave £20 on the table which was more then enough for two drinks and two starters. The waitress who was rude before hand then followed us out and said we hadn't paid our bill as it was £40, we said it can't be we added up the prices of what we had and left more then enough money. She then refused to talk to us unless we came back inside to talk to the manager, so my boyfriend and I agreed. We came back in and the supposed manager had said because we had ordered two mains also, we had to pay for them as they were already cooked. We refued as we hadn't even been served the mains so why should we have to pay. I also pointed out how we weren't paying for the extra drink and then pointed out how I had worked in bars/pubs/restaurants that if another member of staff had seen ID and confirmed age, and other members of staff were aware of this they they can't be refused service. Thought it was so terrible of the staff to treat their customers that was, especially when we are regulars and none of this has ever happened before. So disappointed and won't be coming back after this. Really is a shame.

Always lovely to visit here, spacious, well presented and decorated restaurant, lively, wonderfully helpful staff. Got me in last minute when I only had a short amount of time before my film started.

Decent enough food, and with the lunchtime special, certainly cheap enough. Seems to be fairly busy, and they have a lot of staff on. Potato skins were not as crispy as I like, but the pizza was good. Once you get through the first 2 courses, the waiting staff seem to disappear, so consequently it can take a little while to get another drink or settle the bill. Will no doubt be back, as the price is definitely right.
