Station Inn in Northumberland

We stayed at the station last week for the night when visiting relatives in Hexham and as usual we had a fabulous stay we had our usual room and it was immaculate with lovely white linen and towels plus a well stocked coffee and tea trayAfter a brilliant night out we had a fantastic sleep and woke up refreshed ready for our breakfast what was excellent we had cereal and toast then a tasty full English all in all it was a brilliant stay and we are looking forward to booking the station for our next jolly so I'll sign off by thanking the staff at the station for a fantastic stay and we would not hesitate in recommending the station 😉👍

My twin brother recommended me this hotel, I booked it for the 3rd of February 2022, we had room 3, and what a sweet little room and lovely bathroom facilities, we fully recommend this place and the Staff were excellent, looking forward to the Brekkie as its fully recommended also. Worst hotel,I’ve ever stayed in,needs major refurbishment from top to bottom,our room was so dated & basic,shower rail hanging off wall,towel rail was to,sink taps loose,old pull cord for light was above hand basin at height ! Electric went off early hours & kept tripping all morning,so no shower ! Breakfast was awful,full off grease,egg raw ! Calor gas fire in middle off floor to,not good & definitely would not recommend,staff member on reception was very rude !! Apparently our room had just had full refurbishment,clearly not !!

Food was all fresh good portions well presented really nice, and friendly staff would definitely recommend

Radiator didn't work, temp radiator plug over heated, TV didn't work, no signal. WiFi didn't work. Breakfast served after 8am and I start at 8am so no breakfast for me. No mirror in room apart from bathroom. So I had to use my imagination drying my hair. Car park is a public car park round the corner. Not the best experience after a 6 hour drive. Chap behind desk very chirpy.

I had the Lamb dinner which was average, not a vast amount of meat, the service was good. I had a pint of the Cameron beer which was excellent. The toilets need updating.

Nice little hotel. Close to town centre. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Very good value for money.

I want to start this review by saying that the staff that work here are excellent, all really lovely and friendly and efficient, amazingly so given the same person was managing check in/out, taking breakfast orders, delivering plates and keeping the continental breakfast items stocked. I don't have much else good to say about this hotel though. It's very tried and grotty, the decoration is very dated, our bathroom door didn't close, the handle to our bedroom door was about to fall off and we couldn't get wi-fi in our room. I didn't enjoy the stay and wouldn't recommend this hotel to others. I don't know which rooms are shown in the nice photos on the Google profile for this hotel as it certainly wasn't the one I or any of my travel companions stayed in.

Superb breakfast, really friendly staff. Rooms are a bit dated but everything else more than makes up for it

Cheap and cheerful pub in Hexham which represents good value. Rooms are small but reasonable for the price, although can be a little noisy with road traffic which generally gets quiet after 10pm. I should I'll slept well.Close to the rail station and AD122 bus stop for walks on the wall.Good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again.
