Sun Hotel Warkworth in Northumberland

Hard working team. Rooms reasonable pricing. Close to the castle ruins. Parking easier to find at this location. Good fresh cooking, unsurprisingly Eloise and Bobby were our kids favourite staff.

Good selection of Beers and Ales. Breakfast is cooked well.Loved the toasted hollumi 🌮..... Amber, Andrew and the other guys all very helpful

Just had lunch today and ordered a holluomi wrap. It was horrible. Small bits of holluomi cheese with peppers and lettuce. Tasted burnt and out of date.

We stayed for one night with our dog Buster. A great little hotel, superb views, room was spotless & nicely decorated and the staff were all very friendly and clearly love dogsWe ate outdoors in the garden at the front and the sharing fish platter was excellent. Breakfast the next morning was also very good and the service throughout our stay was excellent.I had read a couple of negative reviews but based on our stay i would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, it is clean, friendly, in a lovely village and excellent value for money, i have stayed in hotels costing a lot more than this one which are nowhere near as niceBuster wants to go back for more breakfast sausages!

What a lovely little hotel. The staff a just that perfect blend of attentive and distant. The “Northumberland” breakfast was good, fresh and generous. Would fully recommend it as a stopping point (which is what we did) or as a base for touring the beautiful area around.

Built in the 1800s the grade II building is fantastic for that old feel sat in the shadow of the castle literally next door. From our room we had fantastic views of the river that surrounds the village and in the distance you can see the sea and the lighthouse. Great value and brilliant for walkers taking in the local area.

During our short stay in warkworth we Visited this pub a few times, drinks and arrive excellent! Great to sit and watch the footy. I had the kids Sunday lunch as not that hungry and my other half had the steak wrap, both fantastic! Next time I’ll make sure I have room for the sharing roast which looked amazing

Great place to stay, food and beer next door excellent too. Dog friendly hotels are a rarity so this one is really worth a look if you want to take four legged friends with you. Great if you don't too!!
