Great food, reasonable prices. Nice decor and clean. Service was fairly quick, and staff friendly .

This is our fourth time of visiting and we have never had a bad meal. All the food is exceptional, tasty and large portions. The staff are absolutely lovely and can't do enough for you. An absolute pleasure to visit whenever we're in the area

Had a fabulous meal here - flavours were delicious. We enjoyed it so much we took the left overs home with us and ordered some take away items the next night to go with them. Excellent!

Me and my husband were staying in Amble for a couple of days and we fancied an Indian so we visited the Taj Mahal. As we walked up the High Street, we saw it was jam-packed so we decided to book a table for the next night. I was so pleased because it was really worth it. The staff were really friendly and we were given a lovely seat near the window. We saw people complaining after 10 minutes of ordering and we understand this not fast food. The food was outstanding and nothing like I had ever tasted before and it was bursting with flavours so we also decided to visit the next night but for a takeaway. The quality was amazing (as usual). I have visited many restaurants and takeaways and I have never felt anything has tasted better than this takeaway. Undoubtedly the best Indian I’ve had. I wrote this as a thanks for the comment

We were staying in a cottage for a couple of nights. As we were walking around, we noticed the the restaurant was fully packed so we rang and booked a table for the next night. It was worth visiting. The service and the food was outstanding. If we stay in Amble again, we will definitely visit.

I've ate curries all over the UK and this establishment is one of the best. We had a week's stay in Amble, (a lovely town). What a delicious curry, probably the best I've had in a long while. Highly recommended.!!

The reason I put only one star: I have been to Amble several times over the past 5 years. About 3 years ago I ordered a takeaway by phone. As I was only a couple of hundred yards away I came to collect and was given somebody else's. Luckily this was noted quite quickly and we swapped. But no lesson was learnt because when I was there on new years eve there was a lot of confusion with take away. For instance you asked a woman what she ordered, she did not know as she was collecting for her daughter. You must have had her daughter's name and phone number. Put it on the tak away simple.Anyway as I did not hold a grudge I came in the day before New Year's Eve. I booked a table for two the following evening at six on New Year's Eve. I arrived with my wife at 5:55 pm. By 7:50 pm we had not been served with our starter! It was a fixed menu for that night so nothing unusual could be chosen. Whilst we waited several tables had been served their starter and some had nearly completed their main course. At that time we left with no fuss to you. This is why I gave you one star which I have never given to anyone. In fact I don't give negative reviews at all. I wrote this as you chose to reply to my giving you one star with ⭐️. What does that mean? Am I getting a gold star?

I ordered a takeaway from here whilst staying nearby.I asked if they preferred card or cash & they answered that cash would be better as they were having issues with their card machine. It was the weekend of storm Arwen & when I arrived to collect they were amazingly busy, probably down to other restaurants nearby being closed, but my food was ready for collection within just five minutes of the time I had been given.I paid cash but everyone after me paid by card (card machine didn't have a problem after all then...).The food was very nice, but my mixed veg balti (advertised as medium hot & spicy) was a bit mild compared to how I hoped it would be.Overall very nice - I'd definitely order from them again.

This is one of our favourite restaurants in the North East. The staff are friendly and the place is always clean and lively, but more importantly the food is absolutely delicious. The waiters are very good with children and will cater for picky eaters. Our chicken tikka starter was especially juicy and tasty, and the curries are fabulous. We have used the takeaway service and it can get busy at the weekend so I would recommend ordering ahead if you don't want to wait.
