Tandoor Mahal in Northumberland

After googling reviews of takeaways near us we decided to order from here due to good reviews husband placed an order can understand it gets busy but to be text order is on way twice then still waited over 2hours no order then husband recieved a call to say sorry order will be leaving or be there in 15 mins how ever time order came naan bread cold chips warm never had tikka chicken muhkani taste like this bitter chicken dry husband had lamb saag lamb was nice rest want really dissapointed when paid all that money will not be ordering here again .

Amazing food. We have just moved into the area today and took a punt ordering here, this place blows our previous best Indian out of the water. Delicious, spicy, and piping hot. Fluffy , crisp naan. Garlic Pilau with golden fragrant lumps of Garlic in it. Awesome. We will be ordering again.

First time at Tandoor Mahal. The only thing I can fault is the fact you had to walk upstairs to get to restaurant, But thats because I'm lazy!😁. Been to many Indian restaurants and without a doubt this was one of the best. Lovely owner, and the chicken was so tender you could taste how fresh the food was. 5 stars.

Following such a long time where life has been on hold just wanted to say what a great evening my wife and I spent at the Mahal, the food was 10/10 and the service given the current climate very on point without being intrusive, we have dined here for years and have never been let down cheers Gents much appreciated

Usually very good but this time I think they had overbooked and we waited a long time to be served. Food lovely as always. Did not see tables in bar area or menus etc being cleaned down between customers or contact details being recorded for Covid 19 records.

Had not visited the Tandoor Mahal in more than twelve months, but decided to entertain my family there for a special occasion. It was a good decision- staff were attentive without being intrusive, service was good and the food simply excellent. My adult children were more than impressed with the taste and quality and delighted to be offereda complimentary alcoholic drink following after dinner coffee. To round off a convivial evening during which we had sampled various dishes including three sides, plus wine and breads, the final bill was most reasonable, being just over £20 per head.Highly recommended.

In the Tandoor Mahal Indian restaurant. Having the 5 course special on Thursday night, very friendly staff. Excellent food as i come from the Midlands and i am a conisiur of Indian food would recommend this place.
