My partner and I arrived at 9.50pm for a quick meal before heading home after visiting Dorking Halls which is directly opposite. No one approached us as we walked in and we had to go right up to the counter area at the back of the restaurant to ask for a table for two. There were four men there, one clearly a waiter, and the others appearing to be friends or delivery drivers, but either way, not staff. We were met with a shocked look from this one waiter visible to us - a sort of "a customer, what next" kind of look."I'll check with the kitchen" came the reply - arr, that old chestnut. The "do we want to have to do any work in exchange for money" sort of question. The "I was hoping to knock off early this evening" kind of question. The "I don't know why we advertise being open until 10.30pm as we just close when we feel like it" kind of approach."Yes, we're still open" we were told (despite the ridiculous noise coming from the kitchen suggesting it was obvious they were either still open or someone was wrestling an elephant out there), and then ignored, so we made our way over to a table on our own and sat down by the window. The table next to us was still full on dirty plates and dishes perhaps there from a previous customer or even day, and the only other people visible were another table for four Asian men either delivery drivers or massive fans of shell suit style tops - or both.We sat for perhaps 7-8 minutes without being offered a drink or a menu, and no menu was visible on our table or any other within sight. No one approached us during the time. Indeed, the only event of the brief visit was to see the one waiter head outside for a brief semi-heated chat with more delivery drivers, before returning and slamming the door so hard it almost came off its hinges and rivalled only the noise emanating from the kitchen and the elephant wrestling.Given there was an element of doubt about whether they were still open upon entry, to be ignored since sitting our patience finally wore thin and we upped and left, without so much as a goodbye, apology or comment from the staff.Tandoori nights - perhaps more Tandoori early evenings. 9.50pm at night is clearly too late for a curry, as all men will attest to.

Great food and staff are brilliant. A very enjoyable meal. 😊

Waited 2hrs and 10 minutes for our food. Called multiple times, each time they were saying the driver had left. Obviously it was stone cold by the time it did arrive, as it most likely been sitting there for the entire time. Considering the amount of far better Indian cuisine restaurants in Dorking, this one will be easy to cross of the list.

Have a special deal menu but have to pay extra for anything other than the cheapest dish be it starter side main dodgy weights and measures on drinks. Would not recommend. Food okay ish but there's a lot better out there

the food was delicious, the staff are very friendly, the place is nice to take your family for dinner on the weekend, I recommend it

Ordered our food for delivery at midday to be delivered for 6pm we was still waiting at 6:30 and had no contact so I tried to call them a number of times and the phone kept going through to voicemail after a few more times a gentleman answered the phone and told me the driver would be here within 5 mins I was polite and said ok thanks 15 mins later still no delivery I call again for the same gentleman to say I’m calling the driver he will call me back I have had no response terrible service still waiting 1 hour later

Customer service and the lamb korma was great, That's about it.I ordered a spicy lamb madras which wasn't spicy and way too much masala rather then chillies, tandoori chicken was dry and flavourless and worst of all was the lamb chops which were chewy and dry. I told the owner/manager and all he did was apologise.Being pretty tired i couldn't be bothered to say much else, i thought complaining was enough and he saw the food left over but didn't decide to do anything about it.I won't be coming back.

Unfortunately we won't order a takeaway from Tandoori Nights again. It's usually late, but this time it took 2 hours and the food was cold. It's a shame the organisation and management isn't better, as the food is usually ok.

Absolutely gutted. We qualified for a free dish which the chef decided to split between 2 pots so we paid for 1 and got another free but really it was just 1 portion halved between 2 pots. This was ordered for 2 grown men to eat so was a piddly amount. Restaurant said theyd send another one out to us. Waited over an hour and quarter and we phoned them again and was told they were busy and its not coming. Been a customer for years both eating in and delivery at home. Unfortunately as of tonight we will go elsewhere. Shame.

Incredible food. The Tuesday deal £12.99 for 5 courses is fantastic value. Staff very friendly.
