First time in the anchor lovely atmosphere great music and a lovely pint most enjoyable.

Maybe it was because we turned up for a pint and Newcastle United were getting beat in the FA cup, the atmosphere was pretty angry. So we finished our beer and went next door?

Been in this pub so many times for a number of years whilst away, but yesterday we decided to eat there for the first time. The food was tasty, it was excellent value for money, the portion size was huge and it came out in good time. Genuine 5* star review!

Nice little local pub serving food. Only a small menu and food was ok.

Happy and friendly atmosphere and fantastic food. We had Steak and Ale Pie, amazing. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic home cooked Sunday lunch. The beef was superb, plenty of veg and luscious thick gravy. Only £8 for a large dinner. Absolutely outstanding. Staff were so friendly too. Can't wait to come back!

Staff are nice and friendly so are the customers. We enjoyed the pub quiz and loved that it was dog friendly. The food let us down though. Two of us ordered the cheese and onion pie. Both of them were served to us cold in the middle. It was also quite bland seasoning needs to be added as it didn't taste of anything.

Lovely pub they do lovely food all fresh have Quiz nights lots oif other stuff going on fancy dress parties etc.Staff very friendly .Had sunday lunch ordered the small there was so much of it all fresh vegetables and meat home made Yorkshire puds. Could not eat it all. Only £ 6.95 worth every penny.. well worth a vist.

Excellent pub with friendly staff and the food was perfect. We brought our dog and he was looked after as much as we were! The chef was very accommodating with my dietary requirements and the atmosphere of the whole place was positive and uplifting! Great for watching sport too but still family friendly and relaxed.
