Gorgeous little place (actually quite roomy inside)! Comfortable, warm, very friendly owners and staff. Absolutely gorgeous food - best cheese scones I've ever had - and great selection of local beers and ales. Give it a try!

I loved the place, a great little country pub and deserves more trade and more people in there. Owner was lovely, very accomodating of us and the kids (and the dog) as were the locals. It's a huge shame it was closing down with the current owners, thouhj hopefully it can continue in another manner as a village without the pub would be a huge shame. Will be visiting again in October if it is trading again.

Deliberately took 'the long way' over the hills from Linhope back to Corbridge so that we could stop in for a pint having heard good things, and boy was it worth the extra driving (for my other half!). Dream of a setting on the village green, super friendly 'like a local' welcome from landlady and landlord. Exceptional pint of the on-site micro brewed mad jack IPA was gorgeous, so much so I bought 4 bottles (plus 4 of the amber and 4 of the best bitter) to take home. Will be back for a longer session, but this is the sort of lub that deserves preserving. A proper, real ale pub's pub. Please make a journey to visit!

Lovely pub in a fantastic setting. Great beers (especially from the brewery right next door). Always worth the trip up!

Loved the place! Delicious food and amazing craft beer! Try their monk fish. It is fresh and tastes amazing! They collaborate with a local brewery and get fresh fish regularly. Staff is friendly and very welcoming. Definitely recommended!

Another great little pub that ticks all the boxes and produces their own ales! If you enjoy traditional bar snacks at very good prices, served by very welcoming staff, then give them a go. Elsdon has a lovely village green for the kids too. Lunch and evening meals at weekends for now.

A very nice pub with a tasteful decor nothing ostentatious at all. That is certainly not meant as a slur on the pub in anyway. Or to be in anyway derogatory.I like it the staff are certainly very friendly and always willing to help, the beer and the food was really fantastic. Also not too expensive either. I had a huge beef burger with some chips, it was properly cooked as well.

Inexpensive country pub recently modernised. Nice staff, relatively simple menu (bar or restaurant - mix & match) on Sunday lunchtime, which went down well. Microbrewery next door, so excellent ales. Wine prices looked reasonable for a bar too. We didn't take our dogs, but they are allowed in the bar. No complaints.

A real treat of a pub. A warm genuine welcome, great beer some of it brewed on site. I was there for a function so not the normal menu but my rump of lamb and fondant potatoes with vegetables was amazing. Far surpassing "pub food". A place I can whole heartedly recommend if you're in the area. It's definitely worth a detour off the main road.
