Lovely little village pub. Great atmosphere and good selection of nice beers and drinks.

Didn’t stay but after a lovely long walk and a shopping spree at the pottery shop next door we received a lovely very warm welcome and ate fantastic food! Dogs welcome too!

Just been in for Sunday lunch with my niece, food was lush and staff very friendly. Dog friendly too which is a bonus ☺️

Driving through the area so last minute stop. Ordered two Sunday lunch and 4 drinks great value for £40. Food was lovely and drinks spot on. Service was very prompt and staff welcoming and nice atmosphere. We would recommend.

Not a cosy, traditional pub but nor does it pretend to be. It's spacious and nicely decorated and presented. A good selection of ales and though we didn't eat here the menu appeared straightforward and reasonably priced. I imagine it's a well appreciated local asset.

We live down the road and have been looking for a pub like this for so so so long... not only was the food (we had Thai and the kids had pub food) absolutely gorgeous. The staff were so lovely and friendly nothing was to much for any of them and all the locals in the pub made us all feel so welcome. Can't wait to come back thank you so much for taking such good care of us and making us feel so welcome. The beer.. YES!!! ALE we had the local ale which was sycamore gap, there was a good selection though and the one we had was super nice....The food I am told is cooked by the owners wife, who is from Thailand and she cooks beautiful Thai dishes that you can order Monday to Friday, we had everything Thai and was one of the nicest meals we have had in ages...we have tried to find a good locsl Thai restaurant for quite some time to no end. We are so pleased we came to try the food available would highly recommend to anyone.

Absolute Gem...super place with super food...Stopped in for a bite to eat...one of the friendliest greetings I have ever had...Run by the owners ...we met both ...Food was excellent....well above the usual Pub food standards.Well worth stopping off if you are passing on the A69...Two minutes from the main road..

A great nights sleep. Generous breakfast. Friendly hosts and an impressive selection of ales. Plus plenty to do in the pub and nearby. No allocated parking but safe street parking for free. Definitely recommend.

Staff exceedingly friendly and polite. Food was gorgeous. One took one star though as could do with some more vegetarian options, but mum enjoyed her tofu curry.Toilets were pristine and so was whole pub. Lovely atmosphere and would happily visit again...shame I don't live anywhere nearby!

Food choices was a little limited from burgers to pies on a Sunday afternoon but for was good, reasonably priced and the beer / wine was bloody good. Staff were friendly enough and the place was spotlessly clean. Chicken, ham and leek pie was really good !
