The overpowering smell of burnt chip oil,at the fish and chip show was bound to be off putting, on a whole the castle itself is very expensive,it's a shame for families as 3.00 for a single ice cream was far to expensive

Just visited for coffees and cake mid afternoon so wasn't busy. Went to the indoor part of the cafe where several tables hadn't been cleared, looked a bit unkempt for the prices being charged.Coffee was ok, scone was very dry. Glad we'd bought sandwiches for lunch!

The food was excellent and the selection was amazing. We enjoyed our lunch. The staff was very friendly and we were served quickly
